How to use it
Start a New Application:
Once you're on the "Accreditation Applications" page, you'll see a big, friendly button that says + New Accreditation Application. Go ahead and click that to kick things off.
Choose Your Accreditation Stream: You might be presented with a choice of different accreditation programs. For example, it could be for "Sustainable Tourism," "Quality Service," or "Adventure Operator" accreditation. Carefully read the descriptions for each and select the one that best fits your business and your goals. Don't worry, you can always go back if you pick the wrong one!
Fill in Your Business Details (Section 1/3: Your Business): Here's where you'll tell us a bit about your fantastic business. You'll see a form asking for things like:
Your official business name
Your ABN (Australian Business Number)
Your primary contact person's details (that's probably you!)
Your business address
Your website and social media links
Please fill in all the required fields. If you see a little red asterisk (*) next to a field, it means it's essential and needs to be filled out before you can move forward. Don't forget to click the green Save & Continue button at the bottom of the page when you're done with this section!
Provide Operational Information (Section 2/3: Operations & Compliance): This section dives a little deeper into how your business operates. You might be asked questions about:
Your insurance details (public liability, professional indemnity)
Your safety procedures and risk management plans
Any licenses or permits relevant to your tourism activities (e.g., national park permits, food handling certificates)
Your environmental practices (if applying for a sustainable tourism accreditation)
You might also be asked to upload documents here, like copies of your insurance certificates or safety manuals. To upload, click on the Choose File button, find the document on your computer, and then click Upload. Remember to click Save & Continue before moving to the next section!
Share Your Customer Service & Marketing Approach (Section 3/3: Customer & Marketing): The final information section often focuses on how you look after your customers and promote your business. You could be asked about:
Your customer feedback process
How you handle complaints
Your marketing activities
Any awards or recognition your business has received
Again, fill in all the details as thoroughly as you can. The more information you provide, the better we can understand your commitment to excellence. Once you've completed this section, click Save & Review.
Review Your Application: You're almost there! This page gives you a chance to look over everything you've entered. It's a bit like proofreading an important letter. Read through each section carefully. Check for any typos or missing information. If you spot something you need to change, click the Edit button next to that section to go back and make your adjustments.
Once you're happy that everything is perfect, tick the declaration box (it usually confirms that the information you've provided is true and accurate).
Submit Your Application: When you're completely satisfied with your application, click the big, friendly Submit Application button. You'll usually receive an on-screen confirmation message, and often an email too, letting you know your application has been successfully sent.

Read the Guidelines Carefully: Each accreditation program usually has specific criteria. Take a moment to read through these guidelines so you know exactly what's expected. This will help you customise your answers and ensure your business meets all the requirements.
