allows you to display real-time data about your business on your main dashboard. This feature saves tourism operators time by providing a central location for key information, such as upcoming bookings and recent enquiries, enabling faster, more informed decisions.
Accessing this feature
First, log into your Tourism Accelerator account. You will automatically land on your main Dashboard. On your Dashboard, look towards the top right-hand side of the screen for the Customise Dashboard button (or a small gear icon). Click that button to start tailoring your dashboard.
How to use it
Adding a Widget
Once you've clicked Customise Dashboard, a panel will appear on the side or bottom of your screen, showing a list of available widgets.
Browse the list to find the information panel you'd like to add, such as "Upcoming Bookings" or "Recent Enquiries".
Click the Add Widget button next to your chosen widget (or drag and drop it onto your dashboard area).
The new widget will immediately appear on your dashboard.
Removing a Widget
While in Customise Dashboard mode, hover your mouse over the widget you wish to remove.
A small 'X' icon or a Remove button will appear in the top corner of the widget.
Click the 'X' or Remove button to remove the widget from your dashboard.
Rearranging Widgets
In customisation mode, click and hold down your mouse button on the top bar of any widget.
Drag the widget to your desired position on the dashboard. An outline will appear, showing you where it will land.
Release your mouse button, and the widget will snap into its new spot.
You can move them around as many times as you like until you're happy with the layout.
Resizing Widgets (where available)
Some widgets can be made larger or smaller to fit your preferred layout.
Look for a small drag handle (often a set of dots or lines) in the bottom right corner of the widget.
Click and drag this handle to expand or shrink the widget's size.
Saving Your Layout
Once you've added, removed, and arranged everything how you like it, save your changes.
Look for a Save Layout or Done button, usually located at the top or bottom of your screen when you're in customisation mode.
Click it, and your new, personalised dashboard will be ready for action every time you log in.
Tips
Prioritise your "must-sees": Think about the top 3-5 pieces of information you check every day and make sure those are prominent on your dashboard. For example, if you're an accommodation provider, "Today's Arrivals" and "Upcoming Departures" might be key.
Keep it tidy: While it's tempting to add every single widget, a cluttered dashboard can be overwhelming. Only include the widgets that truly help you make decisions or stay organised daily. Less can often be more!
Review regularly: Your business changes, and so might your priorities. Take a moment once a month or quarter to review your dashboard layout. Are you still looking at the most relevant information? Don't be afraid to adjust it!
Experiment! The best way to find what works for you is to try different layouts and widget combinations. You can always change it back if it's not quite right. Have a play around β it's your space to customise!
Think about your role: If you're managing bookings, you'll want booking-related widgets. If you're focused on marketing, perhaps website traffic and social media reach are more important. Tailor it to your responsibilities.
