allows you to build custom training programs for your team or partners. This feature helps you develop structured learning paths, from customer service refreshers to safety protocol guides. By creating your own programs, you empower your organisation to grow and deliver exceptional tourism experiences.

Accessing this feature

Go to Programs > New

How to use it

  1. Click the Create button. This opens the program creation page.

  2. In the 'Program Title' field, type a clear, descriptive name for your training program (e.g., 'Exceptional Customer Service for Tour Guides' or 'Coastal Wildlife Spotting Fundamentals').

  3. In the 'Program Description' box, explain what this program is about. What will participants learn? Who is it for? This helps people understand if it's the right program for them. Keep it friendly and inviting!

  4. In the 'Learning Objectives' section, jot down 2-3 key things you want participants to be able to do or understand after completing the program. For instance, "Participants will be able to confidently handle guest inquiries" or "Participants will understand local conservation efforts."

  5. To organise your content, think of modules as chapters in a book. In the 'Modules' section, click on '+ Add New Module'.

  6. Give your module a clear name, like 'Module 1: Welcome & Introduction' or 'Module 2: Handling Difficult Situations'.

  7. Within each module, you can add different types of content!

  • To add lessons, click '+ Add Lesson'. You can write text directly, upload documents (like PDFs of safety procedures), or embed videos (maybe a short clip demonstrating a skill!). Give each lesson a title too!

  • To add quizzes to check understanding, click '+ Add Quiz'. You can set up multiple-choice questions to reinforce learning.

  • You can add as many lessons and quizzes as you need within each module.

  1. If you want to change the order of modules or lessons, simply click and drag them into your preferred sequence.

  2. If you like, you can indicate an estimated time for completion in the 'Estimated Duration' field (e.g., '2 hours', '1 week'). This helps participants plan their learning.

  3. If you'd like participants to receive a certificate upon completion, look for a checkbox or toggle that says 'Offer Completion Certificate' and select 'Yes'.

  4. Review everything you've entered.

  5. Click the Save button, usually found at the bottom of the page.

With the "Create Programs" feature, you'll have the power to:

  • Design custom training programs tailored perfectly to your business's specific needs and goals.

  • Structure your content into clear, manageable modules and lessons, making learning straightforward and engaging.

  • Integrate text, documents, and videos to create rich and dynamic learning experiences.

  • Add quizzes to modules to test knowledge and reinforce key takeaways.

  • Track progress to see how participants are progressing through your programs, helping you identify areas for extra support.

  • Motivate your team by offering official completion certificates for their hard work.

  • Control who can access your programs, whether it's your internal team or specific external partners.

Tips

Here are a few friendly tips to help you make your programs truly shine and get fantastic results for your tourism business:

  • Start simple. Don't feel like you have to create a massive program right away. Start with a short, focused program on one key topic, like 'Guest Welcome Best Practices' or 'Our Favourite Local Attractions'. You can always expand later!

  • Think visually. While text is great, consider adding photos or short videos to your lessons. A quick video demonstrating how to set up a piece of equipment or greet a guest can be incredibly effective and engaging.

  • Involve your team. Ask your experienced team members what training they found most useful, or what challenges they face. Their insights can help you create highly relevant and practical programs.

  • Align with business goals. Think about your current business objectives. Do you want to improve online reviews? Focus a program on 'Creating 5-Star Guest Experiences'. Looking to expand into a new market? Build a program on 'Understanding Our New Target Market'.

  • Get feedback and iterate. Once a few people have completed your program, ask them for their honest feedback. What did they like? What could be clearer? Use this feedback to make your programs even better next time!

  • Don't forget onboarding. Create a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires. It’s a brilliant way to get them up to speed quickly and consistently, ensuring everyone starts with the same foundational knowledge.
