How to use it
Adding a New Section
Once you are on the Manage My Content page, look for a button that says + Add New Section. It is usually prominent.
A form will appear.
Type in the Section Title (e.g., Getting Started with Our Tours, Local Hidden Gems).
Add a brief Description for your section. This explains the lessons within it.
Once you are happy with the title and description, click the Save Section button.
Your new section will appear on the page, ready for you to add lessons.
Adding a New Lesson
Find the section you want to add your lesson to.
Below each section title, you will see a button that says + Add New Lesson.
A new form will appear.
Fill in the following:
Lesson Title: Give your lesson a clear, engaging title (e.g., Our Top 5 Eco-Friendly Practices, How to Book Your Adventure).
Lesson Content: This is where you will write or paste your information. You will usually have a rich text editor where you can format your text, add bullet points, bold words, and embed images or videos.
Lesson Type (Optional): Sometimes there is an option to categorise your lesson (e.g., Guide, Video, Checklist). Choose the most appropriate option.
Take your time writing your content. You can always edit it later.
Once you are done, click the Save Lesson button.
You will see a confirmation message, and your new lesson will appear under its section.
Editing an Existing Section or Lesson
On the Manage My Content page, find the section or lesson you wish to edit.
Next to the title of the section or lesson, you will see an Edit button (often represented by a pencil icon).
Click the Edit button.
The creation form will reappear, pre-filled with your existing content.
Make your changes.
Once you are satisfied, click Save (or Update Section / Update Lesson) to apply your changes.
If you make a mistake, you can always edit it again. This ensures your content is perfect for your audience.
Tips
The following tips will help your content shine and benefit your tourism business:
Think like your audience: Consider frequently asked questions and information that would improve their experience.
Keep it clear and concise: Break down complex ideas into simple, digestible chunks. Use short paragraphs and bullet points.
Use engaging titles: A captivating title encourages people to read your lessons.
Regularly review your content: Your content should evolve with your business. Set a reminder to check your lessons every few months to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Add a personal touch: Let your passion for tourism shine through in your writing.
Experiment: Try different types of lessons, such as a quick FAQ section, a detailed guide, or a behind-the-scenes look. See what resonates with your audience.
Consider a 'Welcome' or 'Getting Started' section: This is a good way to onboard new customers or introduce them to your offerings.
