Program pricing management allows you to clearly define and display prices for your tourism offerings. This ensures customers see consistent and up-to-date pricing, making it easier for them to understand what they're paying for.

For example, you can set different prices for adults, children, or specific seasons, all from one centralised location.

Accessing this feature

Go to Programs.

Select the specific program you want to set or adjust pricing for.

Select the Pricing tab.

How to use it

Choosing Your Pricing Model

  1. On the Pricing tab, select the pricing model that suits your program, such as Per Person, Per Group, or Fixed Price. For example, select Per Person if it's a tour where each person pays individually.

Setting Your Base Price

  1. In the field labelled Base Price or Standard Adult Price, enter the main cost. Include any applicable taxes.

Adding Pricing for Different Customer Types

  1. Select Add Customer Type.

  2. Specify:

  • Customer Type: Select Child, Senior, Student.

  • Price: Enter the specific price for this group.

  • Age Range: Define the age range that qualifies for this price (e.g., 4-12 years).

Introducing Seasonal or Date-Specific Pricing

  1. Select Add Seasonal Pricing or Date Range Pricing.

  2. Specify:

  • Start and End Date: Choose the period when this special price applies.

  • Price Adjustment: Set a new base price or add a percentage increase/decrease to your standard price for this period.

Managing Group Pricing and Discounts

  1. Find the Group Pricing section.

  2. Specify:

  • Minimum Group Size: Define the minimum number of people required for the group rate.

  • Group Price: Set a discounted price per person or a fixed price for the group.

Including Optional Add-ons or Upgrades

  1. Add optional extras such as equipment hire, a premium lunch, or souvenir photos with their own prices.

  2. For each add-on, enter:

  • Name: e.g., "Snorkel Gear Hire", "Gourmet Lunch Upgrade".

  • Price: The cost of the add-on.

  • Description: Provide a short explanation of what it includes.

Reviewing and Saving Your Changes

  1. Double-check all details. Ensure all numbers are correct and seasonal pricing dates are accurate.

  2. Click the Save or Update Pricing button.

With program pricing management, you can:

  • Set a clear base price for each of your tourism programs.

  • Create different price points for adults, children, seniors.

  • Offer special group rates to attract larger bookings and tour operators.

  • Manage seasonal pricing, adjusting costs for peak times, off-peak periods, or special events.

  • Add optional extras and upgrades to your programs, giving customers more choice and enhancing their experience.

  • Define specific validity dates for any price changes or special offers, so updates are automatically applied to your booking channels.

  • Update and review all pricing information in one location, keeping your offerings current and competitive.

  • Review prices regularly, every few months or before a new season, as the tourism landscape changes.

  • Ensure prices are competitive, cover costs, and identify opportunities for special offers.

  • Clearly state inclusions in your program description to avoid customer surprises.

  • Adjust prices for different times of year to maximise revenue.
