The Ports List provides a centralised view of all arrival and departure points for your tours. This helps you plan new routes efficiently and quickly access information about existing stops, ensuring smooth tour operations. For example, easily find the exact coordinates of a specific port to share with your team or update customer itineraries.

Accessing this feature

Go to Cruise > Ports

How to use it

  1. Once you've followed the steps above, you'll land on the main "Ports List" page. Here, you'll see a table displaying all the ports currently set up in your Tourism Accelerator account.

  2. Scroll down to see all the ports. Each port will typically show its name, a brief description, and its location. This gives you a quick overview.

  3. If you have a lot of ports, finding a particular one is easy. Look for the "Search by Port Name" bar, usually located near the top of the list. Type in the name (or even part of the name) of the port you're looking for, and the list will instantly filter to show only matching results.

  4. Sometimes, you might want to see ports from a particular region or type. Look for a "Filter" option, which might be a dropdown menu or a button. You could, for example, filter by 'Coastal Ports' or 'River Stops' if you've categorised them that way. This helps you narrow down your focus.

  5. To see more in-depth information about a specific port, click on its name in the list. This will open a new page or a pop-up window showing all the details for that individual port, such as its exact coordinates, any associated notes, and which routes currently use it. When you're finished viewing the details, just click the "Back to Ports List" button or the 'X' to close the window.

Tips

  • Regularly check your port details to ensure everything is current. If a jetty changes its name or a new pier becomes available, update it here. Accurate information means smooth operations.

  • When setting up new ports, use names that are clear and easy to understand for everyone on your team. This makes searching and identifying ports much simpler.

  • As you plan new tours or modify existing ones, always refer back to your Ports List. This helps you confirm that you're using the recognised ports and ensures consistency across all your routes.

  • Encourage your staff, especially those involved in bookings, customer service, or operations, to familiarise themselves with this guide. The more they know about your ports, the better they can assist guests and manage logistics.

  • Having a clear, consistent list of ports helps you provide accurate information to your guests about departure points, arrival locations, and any stops along the way. This builds trust and reduces confusion.

  • By seeing all your ports in one place, you might spot opportunities for new routes, connections between existing tours, or even potential partnerships with other local tourism providers.
