allow you to manage which notifications each client receives. This ensures clients only receive information they want, improving engagement and satisfaction. For example, you can allow clients to opt-in to special offers while still receiving essential booking updates.

Accessing this feature

Go to Clients.

Click on the client's name to open their profile.

Find the Communication Preferences or Opt-Ins section.

How to use it

  1. Identify Communication Types: The page lists communication types such as:

  • Marketing & Special Offers: Newsletters, promotions, and tour announcements.

  • Booking Confirmations & Updates: Essential booking information.

  • Feedback Requests: Post-tour feedback requests.

  • General Announcements: Important updates.

  1. Review Current Status: Checkboxes indicate whether the client is opted in or out.

  2. Make Your Changes:

  • If a client wants special offers, click the toggle switch next to Marketing & Special Offers to opt them in.

  • If a client does not want feedback requests, click the toggle switch next to Feedback Requests to opt them out.

  1. Add a Note (Optional): Note when and how a client communicated their preference, such as "Opted in for marketing via website form on 15/03/2024" or "Requested opt-out from general announcements via phone call on 20/03/2024". This helps maintain records.

  2. Click the Save Changes button. This is usually at the bottom of the page. Changes are not saved if you do not click the button.

Tips

  • Obtain Clear Consent: Provide a clear way for clients to specify their preferences when signing up or booking. Use checkboxes on booking forms or ask during phone calls.

  • Respect Preferences Promptly: Update preferences immediately when a client opts out.

  • Segment Audiences: Send targeted messages based on client interests, such as special offers or adventure tours.

  • Review Communication Types: Review communication types regularly to ensure relevance.
