Event Creation

The Event Creation feature allows you to list and promote special events, tours, workshops, and festivals. Listing your events increases their visibility to a wider audience, potentially boosting bookings and showcasing your unique offerings.

The Event Creation feature allows you to list and promote special events, tours, workshops, and festivals. Listing your events increases their visibility to a wider audience, potentially boosting bookings and showcasing your unique offerings. Regular event promotion keeps your audience engaged and provides new reasons to visit your destination.

Accessing this feature

Go to Events.

How to use it

  1. After clicking 'Events', you'll see a page that lists any existing events you might have.

  2. To create a brand new one, look for a button that says Create New Event or Add Event.

  3. Click that button, and you'll be taken straight to the event creation form!

  4. Fill in the details for your new event.

Event Details

  1. Event Title: Enter a catchy and clear title in the 'Event Title' field.

  2. Event Description: Provide an engaging and informative description in the 'Event Description' text box.

  3. Upload Event Image: Click the Upload Image button (or drag and drop your file) to add a high-quality photo.

  4. Event Dates & Times:

  • Start Date: Click on the calendar icon to pick the day your event begins.

  • Start Time: Select the time it kicks off.

  • End Date (if applicable): If your event runs for more than one day, select the end date. If it's a single-day event, the end date can be the same as the start date.

  • End Time: Select the time your event finishes.

  1. Event Location:

  • Venue Name: Enter the venue name.

  • Street Address: Enter the full address.

  • Suburb/Town: Enter the suburb or town.

  • State: Enter the state.

  • Postcode: Enter the postcode.

  1. Event Category: Choose the category that best fits your event from the drop-down menu.

  2. Price (Optional): Enter the price if there's a cost. If it's a free event, leave this blank or type "Free."

  3. Booking Link (Optional): Paste the full link to your booking platform in the 'Booking Link' field.

  4. Contact Information: Provide a contact email or phone number.

  5. Review and Save: Look over everything you've entered and click Save.

Tips

  • Use a catchy and clear event title.

  • Write an engaging and informative event description.

  • Upload a high-quality, landscape-oriented image.

  • Categorise your event appropriately.

  • Provide a booking link for easy registration.
