How to use it
Creating a New Event
Once you're on the Events Management page, click the Add New Event button (or similar, like Create Event).
Fill in the event details:
Event Title: Enter the name of your event (e.g., "Annual Heritage Festival," "Sunset Kayak Tour," "Local Produce Market").
Description: Describe your event, highlighting what makes it special and what visitors will experience. Include key details like what to bring, what's included, and any age restrictions.
Event Dates & Times: Select a start date and time, and an end date and time. For multi-day events, set the start and end dates accordingly. If it's a recurring event, you might find options to set up a schedule.
Location: Enter the full address of your event, including any specific meeting points or special instructions.
Upload a Beautiful Image: Click the Upload Image button and choose a high-quality photo that showcases your event.
Category/Tags: Select categories that best describe your event (e.g., "Festival," "Tour," "Workshop," "Family Friendly").
Pricing & Booking Link: If your event is free, select "Free Event." If there's a cost, enter the price. If you use an external booking system, enter the direct booking link.
Contact Information: Provide a contact email or phone number in case visitors have questions.
Review all the information and click the Save or Create Event button. Your event is now saved as a draft.
Publishing Your Event
Once your event is saved, you'll usually see an option to Publish it. Clicking this button will make your event live and visible to the public. You can always unpublish an event later if plans change, or if it's sold out.
Editing an Existing Event
If you make a mistake, or need to update some details:
From your Events Management list, find the event you wish to change.
Click on the Edit button (it often looks like a pencil icon) next to your event's name.
Make any necessary adjustments.
Click Save Changes when you're done. Your updates will instantly go live.
Deleting an Event
If an event is cancelled or no longer happening, you can delete it.
Find the event in your list.
Click the Delete button (often a bin icon).
Confirm your choice. This action is usually permanent.
