How to use it

Create Your New Event

  1. On the Event Ticketing page, click the + Add New Event button.

  2. Fill in the form with the following details:

  • Event Name: Give your event a clear and exciting title (e.g., "Spectacular Sunset Dolphin Cruise" or "Local Flavours Food Tour").

  • Description: Write a compelling description that tells people what to expect and why they shouldn't miss it! Be engaging and highlight the unique aspects.

  • Dates & Times: Select the start and end date and time for your event. If it's a recurring event, you'll have options to set up multiple sessions later.

  • Location: Tell your visitors where to go! This could be a physical address or a meeting point.

  • Event Image: Upload a beautiful, high-quality image that showcases your event. A picture truly is worth a thousand words!

  1. Once you've filled in these details, click Save and Continue or Next.

Set Up Your Ticket Types

  1. On the next screen, you'll see an option to + Add Ticket Type. Click on it.

  2. For each ticket type, you'll need to provide:

  • Ticket Name: What kind of ticket is this? (e.g., "Adult General Admission," "Child Ticket," "VIP Experience," "Early Bird Special").

  • Price: How much does this ticket cost?

  • Quantity Available: How many of these specific tickets do you have for sale? This helps manage your event capacity.

  • Sale Start/End Dates: When do you want these tickets to go on sale, and when should sales stop? This is great for early bird offers!

  • Description (Optional): Add a little extra detail about what this ticket includes if it's different from others.

  1. You can add as many ticket types as you need! Just click + Add Ticket Type again for each new one.

  2. Once you're happy with your ticket setup, click Save and Continue.

Customise Event & Ticket Details

This step lets you fine-tune your event's appearance and add important information. You might see options here to add things like:

  • Additional Information: Any extra notes for attendees, like "What to bring" or "Parking instructions."

  • Terms & Conditions: It's always a good idea to clearly state your refund policy, cancellation terms, etc.

  • Event Categories: Help people find your event by tagging it with relevant categories (e.g., "Adventure," "Food & Drink," "Family Friendly").

  • Confirmation Email Content: Customise the email your attendees receive after purchasing a ticket.

Take your time to make sure all the necessary information is clear and helpful for your guests. Click Save and Continue when you're done.

Set Up Payment Gateway

To actually accept payments, you'll need to link a payment gateway. If you've already done this for other bookings, you might be able to skip this step! The system will guide you to connect your preferred payment provider (like Stripe or PayPal). Follow the prompts to connect your account securely. This ensures you can receive payments directly. If you're stuck, that's okay – we have a separate help article for "Connecting Payment Gateways," or you can always reach out to us!

Review and Publish

You're almost there! This is the final check before your event goes live. Take a moment to review all the information you've entered – event details, ticket types, pricing, and any custom notes. Make sure everything looks perfect and is easy to understand. Once you're completely happy, click the Publish Event button. Congratulations! Your event is now live and ready to accept bookings!

  • Offer Flexible Ticket Options: Provide different tiers like "Early Bird," "VIP," "Child," or "Group Discounts" to appeal to a wider audience.

  • Manage Capacity Easily: Set limits on how many tickets are available for each type or for the overall event, preventing overbooking.

  • Track Sales in Real-Time: See how many tickets you've sold, monitor revenue, and keep an eye on your attendee list from your dashboard.

  • Automate Ticket Delivery: Your guests receive their tickets instantly via email, complete with all the event details.

  • Customise Your Booking Page: Your event page will look professional and on-brand, making the booking experience seamless for your guests.

  • Secure Payments: Rest assured that all transactions are handled securely through trusted payment gateways.

  • Export Attendee Lists: Easily download lists of your registered attendees for check-in or future marketing.

  • Craft Compelling Descriptions: Don't just list facts; tell a story! Describe the experience, what attendees will learn or see, and the emotions they'll feel. Use vivid language and highlight unique selling points.

  • Use High-Quality Images and Videos: Visuals are key! A stunning photo or a short video clip can dramatically increase interest and bookings. Show people what they're missing out on!

  • Offer Early Bird or Bundled Deals: Create a sense of urgency and value by offering discounted tickets for early purchasers or special bundles that combine tickets with other offerings.

  • Promote Across All Channels: Share your event link far and wide! Post on social media, send out newsletters, add it to your website's homepage, and partner with local tourism bodies
