How to use it
Once you're on the Trade Overview dashboard, here's what you'll see and how to understand the information presented. While it may seem extensive initially, it is easy to navigate.
Understand the Overview Section: At the top, you'll see a summary of your overall trade performance. This usually includes total trade bookings, total revenue generated by trade, and average booking value. It gives you a quick snapshot of how things are going.
Use the Date Range Filter: To look at specific periods, locate the Date Range filter, usually near the top right of the dashboard. Click on the date range box, and a calendar will pop up. You can choose predefined ranges like 'Last 30 Days', 'This Quarter', 'Last Year', or pick a custom start and end date. After selecting your desired range, click Apply (or similar) to update the data on the dashboard. This is very useful for comparing performance over different periods!
Explore the Performance Metrics: You'll see various charts and tables displaying key metrics. These often include:
Bookings by Trade Partner: A list or chart showing which partners have generated the most bookings.
Revenue by Trade Partner: How much money each partner has brought in.
Commission Tracking: A breakdown of commissions earned by partners or owed by you.
Examine each section carefully. The visual charts facilitate easy identification of trends and top performers.
Dive Deeper with Specific Partner Views: In the table showing individual trade partners, you'll often see their name listed. Clicking on a specific trade partner's name (if it's clickable) will usually take you to a more detailed view of their individual performance. This is excellent for one-on-one reviews!
Export Your Data (Optional): If you'd like to work with the data offline or share it with your team, look for an Export or Download button (often an icon like an arrow pointing down or a spreadsheet symbol). Clicking this will usually download the current data view into a spreadsheet format (like a CSV or Excel file).
That's it! By experimenting with the date filters and exploring the different sections, you'll quickly become proficient at understanding your trade performance.

Make data-driven decisions: Use real numbers to decide where to invest your time and resources in trade relationships.
To truly enhance your business with the Trade Performance Overview, here are some friendly tips:
Regular monitoring: Make it a habit to check your Trade Overview once a week or two weeks. Consistent monitoring allows early detection of trends and opportunities.
Compare Periods: Use the date filter to compare this month's performance with last month's, or this quarter with the same quarter last year. This helps you understand growth and seasonality.
Recognise top performers: When you identify your top-performing partners, reach out to them! A simple thank you or a special offer can further strengthen the relationship.
Support underperforming partners: If you notice a partner isn't performing as well as you'd hoped, do not dismiss them. Use this data as an opportunity to connect, offer training, or discuss new strategies. They may simply require additional support.
Establish objectives: Use the insights to set realistic goals for your trade partnerships. For example, "Increase bookings from Partner X by 15% next quarter."
Align with business strategy: Consider the implications of the data for your overall business strategy. Should you adjust commission structures or focus on new markets with specific partners?
Collaborate with your team: If you have a sales or marketing team, share these insights with them. This ensures alignment and collaboration towards shared objectives.
