Accessing this feature
From your main dashboard, look for 'Projects' in the left-hand navigation menu. Click on the name of the specific project you want to work on. Once you're inside your chosen project, click the 'Tasks' tab to manage all your project's tasks.
How to use it
Adding a New Task
On the 'Tasks' tab of your project, click the '+ Add New Task' button.
Fill in the details in the form that appears:
Task Name: Give your task a clear, concise name (e.g., "Write website copy for new tour").
Description: Add more detail, specific instructions, or things to remember.
Assignee: Choose the team member responsible from the dropdown menu.
Due Date: Click the calendar icon and pick a date.
Priority: Choose from options like 'Low', 'Medium', 'High', or 'Urgent'.
Status: This will default to 'Not Started' or 'To Do'.
Click the Save Task or Create Task button.
Editing an Existing Task
On your 'Tasks' list, click on the name of the task you want to edit.
Update the name, description, assignee, due date, priority, or status.
Click the Save Changes or Update Task button.
Marking a Task as Complete
To quickly complete a task, click the checkbox next to it on the main 'Tasks' list.
Alternatively, click on the task to open its details, then change the 'Status' dropdown from 'In Progress' to 'Completed'.
Click Save Changes if you updated the status in the task details.
Deleting a Task
Open the details of the task you wish to delete.
Find the Delete Task button or a bin/trashcan icon.
Confirm you want to delete it by clicking 'Yes, Delete' or Confirm.
Tips
Break down large tasks into smaller, actionable steps (e.g., "Research tour route options," "Book first aid training for guides," "Design tour brochure," and so on).
Provide detailed descriptions with links to resources or specific requirements.
Assign one clear owner to each task.
