The task list provides a clear overview of all actions and responsibilities within Tourism Accelerator. Tourism operators can use this feature to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and important details are not missed. For example, you can quickly identify overdue tasks related to updating your website or following up with potential partners.

Accessing this feature

Go to Tasks

How to use it

  1. Log in to your Tourism Accelerator Launchpad and click on Tasks in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Your full list of tasks appears on your screen.

  3. Each task is displayed as a separate item, usually in a list or card format. For each task, you'll see:

  • The Task Name: This is the short description of what needs to be done, like "Update website with new tour dates" or "Follow up with G'day Adventures hotel partner."

  • Due Date: This tells you when the task needs to be completed.

  • Status: You'll see if a task is 'To Do', 'In Progress', or 'Completed'.

  • Assigned To: If you're working with a team, you might also see who the task is assigned to.

  1. You might notice some options at the top of your task list to help you organise your view!

  • "Filter by" lets you narrow down your tasks. For example, you might choose to see only tasks 'Due Today', 'Overdue', or 'Completed Tasks'.

  • "Sort by" allows you to arrange your tasks by 'Due Date (soonest first)', 'Alphabetical Order', or 'Status'.

  1. Look over your tasks to see what's coming up, what's due, and what you've already achieved.

Tips

  • Check your tasks daily (or regularly!).

  • Always assign a realistic due date when you create a task.

  • Break down big goals into smaller, manageable tasks. For example, "Launch New Website" could become "Write homepage content," "Select images for gallery," "Test booking form," etc.

  • Mark tasks as complete promptly.

  • Use the filtering options (like 'Due Today' or 'Overdue') to focus only on what needs your immediate attention.

  • Remember that each task contributes to the bigger picture of your tourism business.
