Action Plans help you organise projects and track progress. Tourism operators can break down large projects, such as launching a new tour package, into manageable tasks with clear deadlines. This ensures smooth progress and reduces the risk of missed opportunities.

How to use it
Creating a Brand New Action Plan:
On the main Action Plans page, click the Create button.
In the form that appears, fill in the Action Plan Name. Choose something clear and descriptive, like "Winter Marketing Campaign 2024" or "New Eco-Tour Launch".
Add a Description (optional). This is a great spot to jot down the main goal or purpose of this plan. For example, "Aim to increase bookings by 20% for July-August."
Set a Start Date and End Date for your overall plan (optional).
Click the Save button.
Adding Tasks to Your Action Plan:
From your list of Action Plans, click on the name of the plan you just created (or any existing plan you want to work on). This will open up the plan's details.
Inside your Action Plan, you'll see a section for tasks. Click the Create button.
In the form that appears, add the task details:
Task Name: This should be specific! Instead of "Marketing," try "Design new flyer for winter campaign" or "Update website with new tour dates and photos."
Description: Add any extra notes or instructions here.
Assigned To (If Applicable): If you work with a team, you can assign this task to yourself or another team member from the dropdown list.
Due Date: This is super important! Pick a realistic date for when this task needs to be completed.
Status: You can set the initial status (e.g., "Not Started," "In Progress").
Click the Save button, and your task will be added to your Action Plan!
Repeat steps 2-4 to keep adding all the tasks needed to complete your plan.
Updating Task Status:
Within an Action Plan, locate the task you want to update.
You'll usually see a dropdown menu right next to the task, or an Edit button. Click on it.
Select the new status (e.g., "In Progress," "Completed").
If you clicked an Edit button, remember to click Save after making your change. Some systems allow direct status updates without an extra save step.
Tips
Create as many Action Plans as you need: Whether it's for a new marketing push, product development, or operational improvements, keep everything separate and organised.
Break down big goals: Turn overwhelming projects into small, manageable steps that feel much less daunting.
Assign tasks to team members: Clearly delegate responsibilities so everyone knows what they need to do.
Set clear deadlines: Ensure tasks are completed on time and keep projects moving forward efficiently.
Track progress at a glance: See how much of an Action Plan is completed with a handy progress bar.
Prioritise what's important: Easily identify overdue tasks or those coming up soon.
Stay organised and reduce stress: Have all your project details in one central, easy-to-access place.
Celebrate achievements: Mark tasks as 'Completed' and see your overall progress grow β it's a great motivator!
Break it down, really small: Don't make a task "Create New Tour." Break it
