Managing Your Insider Profile

  1. Start with the Basics: You'll usually see sections for your core business information first. Click on the Edit button (it might look like a little pencil icon) next to sections like 'Business Details' or 'Contact Information'.

  2. Business Name: Verify the accuracy.

  3. Description: Craft a compelling description of your business. What do you offer? What makes it special? What kind of experience can visitors expect? Create a vivid impression.

  4. Contact Details: Ensure your contact details are current.

  5. Location: Provide an accurate address. Include a map link for easy navigation.

  6. Enhance with Visuals: Look for the section called 'Gallery' or 'Media'.

  7. Click the Upload Photos or Add Video button.

  8. Select high-quality images and videos that showcase your business. Consider what will attract visitors. Include images of your team, location, food, or satisfied visitors. Add captions to provide context.

  9. Share Your Operating Hours: Find the 'Operating Hours' section.

  10. Select the days you're open and enter your start and end times for each day. Add notes for seasonal hours or public holiday closures.

  11. Detail Your Offerings: You might see sections like 'Services Offered' or 'Experiences'.

  12. List your tours, accommodation types, activities, unique offerings, or any special features. Present your offerings clearly and attractively.

  13. Share Your Business's History or Values: Some profiles allow for a deeper dive into your business's history or values. Look for sections like 'About Us', 'Our Story', or 'Meet the Team'.

  14. Connect with visitors personally. Share your business's origins, passions, and team members.

  15. Connect Your Social Media: Find the 'Social Media Links' section.

  16. Enter the URLs for your Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or other relevant social media pages. Enable visitors to follow you.

  17. Review and Save: Once you've filled everything in, take a moment to look over your entire profile. Ensure accuracy and engagement. Remember to click the big Save Changes or Update Profile button! Unsaved changes will not be visible. Update your profile regularly.

Tips

  • Be authentic and passionate. Visitors appreciate authenticity. Use your own voice.

  • Use professional photography. Clear, bright images of visitors enjoying your service are more effective. Consider what would encourage bookings.

  • Focus on Storytelling. Instead of just saying "We offer boat tours," try "Join our expert guides for an unforgettable journey, spotting dolphins and whales."

  • If you add a new experience, change your hours, or hire a new team member, update your profile promptly. Outdated profiles can confuse visitors.

  • Incorporate Keywords. Consider relevant search terms (e.g., 'adventure tourism Tasmania'). Incorporate these terms naturally while maintaining readability.

  • Highlight Visitor Benefits. Explain how features benefit visitors. For example, "Our cabins offer a peaceful escape."

  • Proofread Carefully. Typos can detract from your professionalism. Review before saving.

  • Seek Feedback. Ask for feedback to ensure clarity and appeal.
