How to use it

Here's how to build your new plans:

  1. Start Your New Plan:

Once you're on the Create Plans Guide page, you'll see a prominent button that says + Create New Plan . Go ahead and click that to begin your masterpiece.

  1. Name and Describe Your Plan:

  • Plan Title: Start by giving your plan a clear and inviting name. Consider your guests' interests. (e.g., "Ultimate Byron Bay Surfing Adventure," "Tasmanian Wilderness Explorer," "Sydney Harbour Family Fun Day").

  • Description: Write an engaging description that outlines the plan's highlights. Highlight the benefits and unique experiences concisely.

  • Internal Notes (Optional): The "Internal Notes" field is for your team's use, such as reminders or future updates.

  1. Add Your Favourite Activities and Attractions:

  • This is where the fun begins! You'll see a section where you can start adding the different elements of your plan.

  • Search for Existing Items: If you've already added your tours, activities, accommodations, or points of interest to your Tourism Accelerator account, you can simply start typing their name into the search bar. Our system will help you find and add them quickly.

  • Add New Item: If you want to include something that isn't yet in your account, do not worry! There will be an option like + Add New Activity/Location . Click this, and a small form will pop up, allowing you to quickly add the essential details like name, address, and a short description. You can always expand these details in your main inventory later.

  1. Organise Your Plan:

  • Once you've added an item, you can decide where it fits into your plan. You'll likely see options to:

  • Assign to a Day: For multi-day plans, drag and drop items into designated days.

  • Order Activities: Within each day or section, drag and drop activities to arrange them.

  1. For each item, you can also add specific details like:

  • Start Time/End Time: If it's a scheduled activity.

  • Personalised Notes: Include insider tips, instructions, or interesting facts.

  • Booking Link: If the item is bookable, you can include a direct link to the booking page, simplifying the process for guests.

  1. Review and Refine:

As you build your plan, take a moment to review it. Is the flow logical? Is the information accurate and clear? Edit sections or items by clicking the Edit icon.

  1. Save Your Plan:

Once you're happy with your plan, make sure to click the big Save Plan button. Select Save as Draft to continue editing later.

Insider Plan Creation enables you to:

  • Craft Personalised Itineraries: Design unique journeys customised to different guest interests or trip lengths.

  • Feature Your Own Offerings: Integrate your tours, accommodations, and services.

  • Highlight Regional Gems: Showcase regional businesses, restaurants, and attractions, establishing your regional expertise.

  • Add Direct Booking Links: Enable easy booking with direct links.

  • Organise by Day or Theme: Structure plans by day or theme (e.g., "Best Sunset Spots").

  • Include Important Notes & Tips: Add insider advice, practical information, or engaging stories.

  • Save and Reuse Templates: Create core plans and then duplicate them to make slight adjustments for different guests or seasons, saving time.

  • Categorise Plans: Organise plans by categories such as "Adventure," "Relaxation," "Family," or "Food & Wine."

Tips

To maximise the value of your plans, consider these tips:

  • Consider Your Guests: Anticipate their questions and consider ways to enhance their experience. Include details such as opening hours, optimal visit times, and transport tips.

  • Develop Themed Plans: Develop plans such as "Romantic Escape," "Family Fun," "Adventure Seeker," or "Foodie Trail" to appeal to diverse interests.

  • Offer a Variety of Activities: Combine your offerings with popular regional attractions, dining options, and unique spots.
