How to use it

  1. Experience Name: This is the headline for your experience! Make it clear and exciting. For example, "Morning Kayak Adventure on Sydney Harbour" or "Hunter Valley Wine & Cheese Tasting Tour." Type your chosen name into the field.

  2. Experience Type: You'll see a dropdown menu here. This helps us categorise your offering. Choose the option that best describes your experience (e.g., Tour, Accommodation, Activity, Attraction, Rental, Event).

  3. Short Description: In a few sentences, tell potential customers what your experience is all about. This is your chance to grab their attention! Keep it concise but engaging. What's the main benefit or experience they'll get?

  4. Full Description: This is where you provide all the juicy details. What's included? What should they expect? Any unique selling points? Use paragraphs to make it easy to read. Think about what a customer would want to know before booking.

  5. Pricing Details:

  • Base Price: Enter the starting price for your experience.

  • Currency: Select 'AUD' (Australian Dollars) from the dropdown.

  • Price Type: Is it 'Per Person', 'Per Booking', 'Per Night', etc.? Choose the most suitable option. You might also see options to add different pricing tiers (e.g., adult/child rates). Click Add Price Tier if you need to set these up and fill in the details.

  1. Availability: You'll likely see a calendar or a section to define your operating hours/days. Click on the dates or times your experience is available. You can usually select single dates, date ranges, or recurring availability (e.g., "Every Saturday"). If your experience has limited spots, you might find a field for 'Capacity' – enter the maximum number of participants or rooms available.

  2. Location: Start typing your address into the 'Address' field. Our system will often suggest options as you type – select the correct one. You might also see fields for 'Meeting Point Instructions' if customers need to gather somewhere specific (e.g., "Meet at the main entrance of the Botanical Gardens").

  3. Images & Videos: Click Upload Images or Add Video Link. Choose your best, high-quality photos and videos that truly showcase your experience. Make sure they're clear, bright, and inviting. You can often drag and drop files directly. You can set a 'Featured Image' – this is the first one customers will see!

  4. Categories & Tags: Select relevant categories from the list (e.g., "Adventure Tours," "Coastal Walks," "Family Friendly"). Add specific 'Tags' (keywords) that describe your experience (e.g., "snorkelling," "wine tasting," "historic," "wheelchair accessible"). This helps search engines and customers alike!

  5. Contact Information: This section might automatically populate from your business profile, but double-check that the contact details for this specific experience are correct.

  6. Click the Save button.

Tips

  • Invest in professional-looking photos or take them yourself with good lighting. Show people enjoying the experience! Images are often the first thing a customer sees and can make or break their decision.

  • Instead of listing features, describe the experience. What will customers feel, see, and do? Use vivid language.

  • Regularly check and update your calendar.

  • Make sure your pricing is easy to understand, and include what is and isn't included. Transparency builds trust.

  • The more information you provide, the better equipped customers are to choose your experience, and the more likely your listing is to be found.

  • Are the descriptions still accurate? Do you have new photos? Is your pricing competitive? A fresh look can make a big difference.
