How to use it
Generating a report
After following the "Accessing this feature" steps above, you'll be on the Project Overview page. Find the project you're interested in and click the View Reports button associated with it. This will open up the reporting dashboard for that specific project.
On the report screen, you'll see an option to select a Date Range. This lets you focus on a specific period. You might want to see how your project performed last month, last quarter, or even over a custom period you define. Click on the date range selector and pick your preferred option from the dropdown menu, or enter specific start and end dates.
This is where you tell the system what kind of information you're interested in. You'll usually see a section labelled Metrics or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Here, you can tick the boxes next to the data points that matter most to your project. For example, if it's a marketing campaign, you might select "Website Clicks," "New Bookings," or "Social Media Reach." If it's a product development project, you might look at "Guest Feedback Scores" or "Units Sold." Pick the ones that will give you the clearest picture!
Once you've selected your date range and your preferred metrics, click the Generate Report button. The system will then quickly put all the information together for you.
Your report will now appear on your screen! Take your time to look through the data. You might see charts, graphs, and tables, all designed to make the information easy to digest.
If you'd like a copy to share with your team, or to keep for your records, look for a Download or Print button (usually in the top right corner). You can often save your report as a PDF or a spreadsheet.
Tips
Track Progress Against Goals: Easily see if your project is on track to meet the targets you set. Are you getting the bookings you aimed for? Is your website traffic growing as expected?
Monitor Your Budget: Keep an eye on how much you're spending versus your allocated budget, ensuring you stay financially savvy and get the best return on your investment.
Measure Marketing Effectiveness: Understand which of your marketing efforts are bringing in the most interest and conversions. See if that latest Instagram campaign truly translated into new guest enquiries.
Identify Strengths and Weaknesses: Pinpoint what aspects of your project are performing exceptionally well, so you can replicate that success. Likewise, identify areas that might need a little extra attention or a new approach.
Compare Performance Over Time: Look at how your project is doing this month compared to last month, or this quarter versus the same period last year. This helps you spot trends and understand seasonal impacts.
Make Data-Driven Decisions: With clear data in front of you, you can make confident, informed decisions about where to invest your time, energy, and resources next.
Share Insights with Your Team: Easily export reports to share with your team members, partners, or stakeholders, ensuring everyone is on the same page and working towards common goals.
Set Clear Goals from the Start: Before you even begin a project, think about what success looks like. What are your key targets? Having these clear goals will make your reports much more meaningful, as you'll know exactly what you're measuring against.
Review Regularly: Don't generate a report once and forget it! Make it a habit to check in on your project reports regularly.
