Task reports provide an overview of task completion across your business. Tourism operators can use this feature to monitor team progress and identify overdue tasks, ensuring projects stay on schedule and workloads are balanced.

Accessing this feature

From your Tourism Accelerator Launchpad, look for the main menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

Click on Reports.

Then, from the options that appear, select Task Reports.

How to use it

Choose Your Filters

You'll see several options to help you narrow down your report. This is where you tell the system exactly what you want to see. You can filter by:

  1. Date Range: Use the calendar tool to select your preferred start and end dates.

  2. Assigned To: Select a team member's name from the dropdown list.

  3. Task Status: Pick the status that's most helpful for you right now (Completed, Pending, Overdue, or All tasks).

  4. Task Category: Select a specific category to focus on (like "Operations," "Marketing," or "Customer Service").

Generate the Report

  1. Once you've set all your preferred filters, click the Generate Report button.

Review Your Report

Your report will load, showing a table with all the tasks that match your filters. You'll be able to see details like:

  • The task name

  • Who it's assigned to

  • Its due date

  • Its current status (e.g., Completed, Pending, Overdue)

  • The date it was completed (if applicable)

  • Any notes associated with the task

Export Your Data (Optional)

  1. If you'd like to keep a copy of your report for your records, or perhaps share it with your team during a meeting, you'll see an Export button (usually near the top right of the report table).

  2. Clicking this will download the report as a spreadsheet file (like a CSV), which you can then open and use in programs like Excel or Google Sheets.

Tips

With Task Reports at your fingertips, you've got a tool to streamline your operations. Here are a few things you can do:

  • Monitor Team Progress: See what each team member is working on and their progress.

  • Identify Overdue Tasks: Spot any tasks that have missed their deadline so you can follow up or offer support.

  • Track Project Milestones: Keep an eye on the completion of key tasks for bigger projects, ensuring everything stays on schedule.

  • Assess Workload: Understand if tasks are being distributed evenly or if someone might be feeling a bit overwhelmed.

  • Prepare for Team Meetings: Use the reports as a basis for discussions during your team catch-ups.

  • Celebrate Successes: See all those "Completed" tasks and give a shout-out to your team!

  • Improve Processes: Notice a recurring delay or a task that's often missed? This report can highlight areas where your processes might need a tweak to become even better.

  • Check in Regularly: Make it a habit to glance at your Task Reports, perhaps weekly or bi-weekly.

  • Use Filters Wisely: View all overdue tasks one day, and then focus on completed marketing tasks the next.

  • Connect with Your Team: Use the reports as a conversation starter. If you see a task is overdue, ask how you can help or if they're facing any roadblocks.

  • Set Clear Task Details: The more information you put into each task when you create it (like a clear description and a due date), the more useful your reports will be.

  • Celebrate Wins: When you see a wave of tasks completed, take a moment to acknowledge your team's hard work.

  • Look for Patterns: Are certain types of tasks always late? Is one team member swamped? These insights can help you make decisions about staffing, training, or process improvements.
