How to use it

Start a New Report

  1. On the Custom Reports page, click + Create New Report or Build Custom Report.

Give Your Report a Name

  1. A box will appear asking for a "Report Name".

  2. Choose something clear and descriptive, like "Q3 Tour Revenue" or "Customer Origin – Last 6 Months". This will help you easily find it later.

  3. You might also see an optional "Description" field – feel free to add more detail about what this report is for.

Choose Your Information Source

  1. The system needs to know what kind of information you want to look at.

  2. You'll usually see options like "Bookings", "Customers", "Tours & Experiences", or "Sales".

  3. Think about the question you want to answer (e.g., "How many bookings did I get?") and select the main area that holds that data.

Pick Your Details (What to Measure)

  1. Tell the report what specific information to show you.

  2. If you chose "Bookings" as your source, you might want to see details like:

  • "Total Revenue"

  • "Number of Guests"

  • "Booking Date"

  • "Tour Name"

  • "Customer Name"

  1. You'll likely see a list of available options; click on the ones you want to include in your report. You can pick as many as you need!

Filter Your Results (Narrow it Down)

  1. Filters let you focus on the information you care about.

  2. You might want to see:

  • Data from a specific Date Range (e.g., "Last Month", "This Year", or custom dates).

  • Results for a particular Tour or Experience.

  • Bookings made through a certain Source (e.g., "Online", "Walk-in", "Agent").

  • Customers from a specific Country or Region.

  1. You can add multiple filters to pinpoint the exact data you're looking for.

Choose How Your Report Looks

  1. How do you want to see your data? You'll have options like:

  • Table: A clear list of rows and columns, just like a spreadsheet.

  • Bar Chart: Great for comparing different categories (e.g., revenue per tour).

  • Line Chart: Perfect for seeing trends over time (e.g., bookings per month).

  1. Pick the display that makes the most sense for the information you're presenting.

Save and View Your Report

  1. Once you're happy with all your selections, click the Save Report button.

  2. The system will then generate your report, and you'll see your customised data appear!

  3. You can click an Export button if you want to download it as a spreadsheet (like a CSV file) or a PDF.
