provides a central hub to view and manage partnerships with other tourism businesses. Tourism operators can use this feature to track joint ventures, access partner contact information, and review shared resources, ensuring organised and efficient collaboration. For example, a tour operator can easily monitor a partnership with a local hotel for a combined accommodation and tour package.

Accessing this feature

Go to My Business > Collaborations

How to use it

Once you've clicked on Collaborations from the My Business menu, you'll land on a page that shows a list of all your active and past collaborations.

Navigating the Collaborations Overview

  1. Scan the List: You'll see each collaboration listed in its own row or card. Each entry typically includes key information at a glance, like:

  • Partner Name: The name of the business you're collaborating with.

  • Collaboration Title/Project: A short description of what you're working on together (e.g., "Winter Wildlife Tour Package", "Local Food & Wine Festival").

  • Status: This tells you where the collaboration is at (e.g., "Active", "Pending Approval", "Completed", "Archived").

  • Start Date: When the collaboration officially began.

  • Next Action: Sometimes there's a quick note about what needs to happen next.

Exploring Collaboration Details

  1. Dive Deeper into a Collaboration: To see more details about a specific collaboration, click on the name of the partner or the collaboration title in the list. This will take you to a dedicated page for that particular partnership.

  2. Explore the Collaboration Details Page: On this detailed page, you'll typically see:

  • Full Partner Profile: More information about the collaborating business.

  • Detailed Project Description: A comprehensive overview of the collaboration's goals, activities, and deliverables.

  • Key Contacts: Who to get in touch with at the partner organisation.

  • Shared Documents: Any files, agreements, or resources you've shared.

  • Communication Log: A history of messages or updates related to this specific collaboration.

  • Performance Metrics (if applicable): How well the collaboration is performing, if you've set up tracking.

  • History: A timeline of important milestones for the collaboration.

  1. Go Back to the List: When you're finished reviewing a specific collaboration, look for a Back to Collaborations button or a small arrow pointing left, usually near the top of the page. Click this to return to your main list of collaborations.

Tips

  • Regularly Review Your Collaborations: Make it a habit to check your "View Collaborations" page at least once a week. This helps you stay on top of all your partnerships, spot anything that needs your attention, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Look for Synergies: As you scroll through your list of partners, think about whether any of them could benefit from connecting with each other. Sometimes, two of your existing partners might be a perfect match for a new, exciting three-way collaboration!

  • Use the Details Page as Your Memory Aid: The detailed collaboration page isn't for viewing only; it's a place to refresh your memory before a meeting or a call with a partner. Quickly review the project description, shared documents, and communication log so you're always prepared.

  • Identify "Sleeping" Collaborations: If you see a collaboration that's been "Active" for a while but nothing seems to be happening, it might be a good opportunity to reach out to your partner. A friendly "How are things going with [project name]?" can reignite a partnership.

  • Track Your Successes: When a collaboration is completed successfully, make a note of it. Understanding what made a partnership successful can help you replicate that success in future ventures.

  • Brainstorm New Ideas: Seeing all your existing partnerships laid out can spark inspiration. What new tour packages, events, or experiences could you create with your current collaborators?

  • Encourage Your Partners to Use It Too: If your partners are also on Tourism Accelerator, encourage them to use the platform for collaboration management. Consistent use makes communication and tracking even smoother for everyone!
