How to use it

Understanding Data States

This guide serves as a reference for understanding the different states you will encounter within the platform. As you explore different sections, such as bookings or marketing campaigns, you will notice various states being used. Refer to this guide to understand what each state signifies.

For example:

If you see a booking labelled as "Pending," you can refer to the "Booking States" section to understand what "Pending" means and what actions you might need to take. Similarly, if a marketing campaign is labelled as "Active," you can refer to the "Campaign States" section to understand that the campaign is currently live and reaching your audience.

Tips

We want you to feel confident and empowered using Tourism Accelerator, and understanding your 'state data' is a big part of that!

  • Refer back often: This guide is here as your ongoing resource. Whenever you see a state that's new or you're a bit unsure about, just pop back here for a quick refresh.

  • Combine with your dashboards: Use this guide hand-in-hand with your actual dashboards in Tourism Accelerator. As you look at your live data – your list of bookings or campaigns – open this guide in another tab. Seeing the explanations alongside your real-world data makes the learning stick much better!

  • Understand the "flow": Many items in Tourism Accelerator will follow a natural progression of states (e.g., a booking might go from 'Enquiry' to 'Pending' to 'Confirmed' to 'Completed'). Try to understand the typical "journey" for each type of item. This helps you anticipate what's next and manage your workflow.

  • Train your team: If you have a team, share this guide with them! Consistency in understanding what each state means is crucial for smooth operations.
