How to use it

When you first arrive, you see a high-level overview of your entire region. This includes a summary of total bookings, revenue, and visitor numbers.

Using the Date Range Selector

  1. Look for the Date Range selector.

  2. Click on it to see options like 'Last 7 Days', 'Last 30 Days', 'This Quarter', 'Last Year', or 'Custom Range'.

  3. Choose the period that best suits what you want to analyse.

Filtering Your View

  1. Use the filters for Sub-Region, Business Type (e.g., Accommodation, Tours, Attractions), or specific Operators.

  2. Click on the filter you want to use (for example, Sub-Region), and a list of options appears.

  3. Select one or more areas you would like to focus on.

  4. Combine filters for specific insights.

Understanding Your Metrics

As you apply filters, the graphs and numbers update. Here's what you usually find:

  • Total Bookings: The number of experiences or stays booked.

  • Total Revenue: The total income generated.

  • Average Spend per Visitor: An indicator of how much visitors are contributing to the local economy.

  • Popular Experiences/Products: A list or graph showing which tours, activities, or accommodation types are performing best.

  • Visitor Origins: Information on where your visitors are coming from, useful for targeted marketing.

Hover your mouse over graphs to reveal more detailed numbers.

Comparing Performance

Some dashboards allow you to compare different periods or sub-regions side-by-side. If you see an option like Compare to Previous Period or Add Comparison, give it a try. This helps you spot growth or areas that might need attention.

Exporting Data

If you need to share the data or do an in-depth analysis, look for an Export or Download Report button. This downloads the current view's data as a CSV or Excel file.

Tips

  • Check Regularly: Review your dashboard weekly or monthly to spot emerging trends and make adjustments.

  • Use Filters: Experiment with date ranges, sub-regions, and business types to uncover specific insights.

  • Ask Why: When you see a spike or dip in performance, ask why it might be happening.

  • Share Insights: Use the insights to inform discussions with local operators, government bodies, and marketing teams.

  • Compare Performance: If you have multiple sub-regions, compare their performance.

  • Experiment: Click around, try different settings, and see what you discover.
