The Events feature allows you to promote special happenings at your tourism business. By providing event details like date, time, location and booking information, you make it easy for potential visitors to discover and book your unique offerings, leading to increased engagement and bookings.

Accessing this feature

Go to the Events page in the navigation menu.

How to use it

  1. On the Events page, click Add Event.

  2. Fill out the form with the following details:

  • Event Title: Enter a catchy and descriptive name for your event (e.g., "Riverside Summer Market" or "Twilight Kayak Adventure").

  • Description: Provide details about the event experience, what makes it special, and who it is for. Answer: Who, What, When, Where, Why it's great, and How they'll feel.

  • Category: Choose the category that best fits your event (e.g., "Food & Wine," "Adventure," "Arts & Culture," "Family Fun").

  • Location: Type in the full address of the event. If it's an online event, specify that here.

  • Start Date & Time: Set the event's start date and time.

  • End Date & Time: Set the event's end date and time. For multi-day events, set the final end date.

  • Recurring Event?: If your event happens regularly (e.g., every Saturday morning), you might see an option to set it as a recurring event. If unsure, create separate events for now.

  • Event Image/Photo: Click the Upload Image button. Choose a high-quality, inviting photo that captures the spirit of your event.

  • Video Link (Optional): Add a link to a short video showcasing your event (e.g., from YouTube or Vimeo).

  • Free or Paid?: Select the appropriate option.

  • Price: If it's paid, enter the price. If you have different ticket types (e.g., Adult, Child, Family), you might have options to add those here.

  • Booking Link/Instructions: Provide a direct link to your booking system (e.g., your website's booking page, Eventbrite, Humanitix, etc.). If bookings are handled directly, provide clear instructions (e.g., "Call us on 0X XXXX XXXX to book").

  • Capacity (Optional): Set a maximum capacity if your event has limited spots.

  • Contact Person/Email/Phone: Provide contact details for event enquiries.

  1. Review all entered information for accuracy.
