Accessing this feature
Go to Directory > Trade Partners from your Dashboard.
How to use it
Go to the Trade Partner Directory as outlined in the "Accessing This Feature" section above. You will see a list of available trade partners, along with search and filter options.
Before starting a search, identify the characteristics of your ideal trade partner. Consider factors such as their industry segment (e.g., accommodation, tour operator, transport), geographic location, specific services offered, or market focus (e.g., inbound, domestic, niche).
Use the search and filter options:
Search Bar : Enter keywords directly into the search bar. This can include company names, specific services, or general industry terms. The system will display results that match your input.
Filters : Apply filters to refine your search. Common filter categories include:
Industry Type: Select one or more industry classifications relevant to your search.
Location: Specify states, regions, or cities to find partners in particular areas.
Specialisation: Filter by unique offerings or expertise (e.g., eco-tourism, adventure travel, luxury experiences).
Partner Status: (If applicable) Filter by verified partners or those with specific accreditations.
Combine multiple filters for precise targeting.
Click on a partner's listing to access their detailed profile. Each profile typically includes:
Contact Information: Direct contact details, including email, phone number, and website.
Organisation Overview: A description of their business, mission, and key offerings.
Services and Products: A comprehensive list of what they provide.
Market Focus: Information on their target audience and operational markets.
Accreditations/Certifications: Any relevant industry recognitions.
Reviewing these details is crucial for assessing alignment with your business needs.
Initiate contact directly through the platform's messaging system (if available) or using the provided external contact details. Ensure your message is professional, concise, and clearly articulates your interest and potential for collaboration.
For partners you wish to follow up with later or keep for future reference, use the Save or Bookmark functionality (if available). This allows you to create a personalised list of preferred partners for easy access without re-searching.
Tips
Optimise Your Own Profile: Ensure your organisation's profile is complete, accurate, and compelling. A well-articulated profile increases your visibility and attractiveness to potential partners who may be searching for businesses like yours. Regularly update your services and contact information.
Clearly Define Your Partnership Goals: Before searching, establish what you aim to achieve through a partnership. Whether it's expanding market reach, diversifying offerings, or sourcing specific services, clear objectives will guide your search and communication efforts.
Use All Search Parameters: Do not limit yourself to basic keyword searches. Use all available filters—industry type, location, specialisation—to narrow down results and pinpoint the most relevant partners efficiently. This saves time and improves the quality of your leads.
Personalise Your Outreach: When contacting a potential partner, avoid generic templates. Reference specific details from their profile that resonated with you and clearly articulate how a partnership could create mutual value. This demonstrates genuine interest and professionalism.
Regularly Review New Listings: The directory is a dynamic resource. Make it a routine to check for newly added partners or updated profiles. Staying current ensures you do not miss emerging opportunities or changes in the market landscape.
