help you expand your network within Tourism Accelerator. Send connection requests to other registered trade partners to collaborate and build industry relationships, such as partnering with a local winery to offer exclusive tasting experiences. This allows you to easily find and connect with businesses that align with your strategic objectives.

Accessing this feature

Go to My Network > Discover Partners

How to use it

Go to Discover Partners: From your Tourism Accelerator dashboard, click on My Network in the main navigation. Within the My Network section, select the Discover Partners tab or button. This displays a directory of all registered trade partners.

Locate a Trade Partner

  1. Search Bar: Use the search bar at the top of the Discover Partners page to find a specific business by entering their name or a relevant keyword.

  2. Filters: Apply available filters (e.g., region, specialisation, product category, target market) to narrow down the list of potential partners that align with your strategic objectives. This ensures you are connecting with the most relevant businesses.

  3. Browse Directory: Alternatively, you can browse through the full list of partners, reviewing their profiles to identify suitable collaboration opportunities.

Initiate a Connection Request

  1. Once you have identified a desired trade partner, click on their business's name or profile card to view their detailed profile page.

  2. On their profile page, locate and click the prominent Connect button, positioned near their business's name or contact details. This action initiates the connection request process, often opening a dedicated message composition window.

Compose Your Connection Message

  1. A default message may be provided, however, it is strongly recommended to customise your connection message. Personalised messages increase the likelihood of your request being accepted.

  2. Clearly state the purpose of your connection request.

  3. Explain why you are reaching out and how a potential partnership could be mutually beneficial.

  4. Maintain a professional and engaging tone. Avoid overly informal language.

Example Message: "Our business, [Your Organisation Name], is highly interested in exploring potential collaboration opportunities with [Recipient Organisation Name] given your expertise in [specific area]. We believe our [product/service] aligns well with your offerings, and we are keen to discuss how we might create mutual benefits together within the tourism sector."

Review and Send

  1. Before finalising your request, carefully review your composed message for clarity, accuracy, and any typos.

  2. Verify that you are sending the request to the correct trade partner.

  3. Click the Send Request button to send your connection invitation. The system will then notify the recipient of your request.

Manage Pending Requests

  1. You can monitor the status of all your sent connection requests by returning to your My Network section and navigating to the Pending Requests tab.

  2. Requests will display as "Pending" until the recipient accepts or declines your invitation.

  3. Once a decision is made, the status will update accordingly, and you will receive a notification.
