synchronise your Google Calendar with the platform. This helps tourism operators avoid double bookings and maximise revenue from tours and experiences. For example, when a guest books an experience through the platform, it automatically updates your Google Calendar, ensuring accurate availability.

Accessing this feature

Go to Calendar > Connections

How to use it

Connecting your Google Calendar involves an authorisation process to establish a link between your Google account and our platform. Follow these steps:

  1. From the Google Calendar integration page, select the Connect Google Calendar button. This action will redirect you to Google's authentication portal.

  2. You are prompted to sign in to your Google account or select an existing account if you are already signed in. Choose the Google account that hosts the calendar(s) you intend to synchronise with our platform.

  3. Google presents a screen detailing the permissions our platform requires to access your Google Calendar data. Review these permissions and grant them by clicking Allow.

  4. Once connected, our platform displays a list of calendars associated with your selected Google account.

  5. Choose which Google Calendars you wish to synchronise. You may select multiple calendars if required.

  6. Configure the synchronisation preferences. Options include:

  • Two-way synchronisation: Events created or updated in either Google Calendar or our platform are reflected in the other.

  • One-way synchronisation (Google to Platform): Events from Google Calendar appear in our platform, but events created in our platform are not pushed to Google Calendar.

  • One-way synchronisation (Platform to Google): Events created in our platform are pushed to Google Calendar, but changes in Google Calendar do not affect events in our platform.

  1. Designate a primary Google Calendar for new event creation originating from our platform.

  2. Review your selected calendars and synchronisation settings. Click Save or Activate to finalise the integration. Our platform then starts the first synchronisation, populating your calendar data according to your configured preferences.

  3. After saving, verify the integration by creating a test event in both our platform and your Google Calendar to confirm that synchronisation occurs as expected.

Tips

  • Periodically review the permissions granted to third-party applications, including our platform. Revoke access for any integrations no longer in use.

  • Make sure that the time zone settings in both your Google Calendar and our platform are identical.
