You can upload a profile photo to help guests recognise you and build trust. A professional headshot increases bookings, while a company logo reinforces your brand, creating a consistent experience.

Accessing this feature

Go to Settings > Profile

How to use it

Go to the Profile Photo Section

Access the Profile Photo management area as described in the "Accessing This Feature" section above. This presents you with options to manage your current photo or upload a new one.

Initiate Photo Upload or Change

  1. If you do not have a photo, locate and click the Upload Photo button.

  2. If you have an existing photo, click Change Photo or an equivalent option. This action typically opens a file selection dialogue from your operating system.

Select Your Image File

  1. Browse your computer's files to locate the desired image.

  2. Select the image file you wish to use as your profile photo. Supported file types generally include JPG, JPEG, and PNG. Ensure the image is accessible and not currently open in another application.

Review and Adjust (Optional)

Upon selecting your image, the platform may provide a preview window. This feature often includes tools for cropping, rotating, or resizing the image to fit the designated profile photo dimensions. Drag the corners of the cropping tool to select the desired portion of your image. This step ensures your photo is optimally framed and presented.

Confirm and Save Changes

  1. Once you are satisfied with the selected image and any adjustments, locate and click the Save or Apply Changes button. This action commits your new profile photo to your account.

  2. If you navigate away without saving, your changes are not applied.

Verify Update

After saving, your new profile photo should immediately appear in the preview area and across the platform where your profile photo is displayed. It is advisable to refresh your browser or go to your public profile page to confirm the update has been successfully processed and is visible.

Remove Profile Photo (Optional)

Should you wish to remove your profile photo without replacing it, locate the Remove Photo or Delete Photo option within the Profile Photo management section. Confirm this action when prompted. Your profile then displays a default avatar.

Tips

  • Professional Image Selection: Choose a photo that reflects a professional demeanour. For individual profiles, a clear headshot is generally recommended. Avoid informal photos, distracting backgrounds, or images that do not align with professional conduct.

  • High Resolution and Clarity: Upload images with sufficient resolution to prevent pixelation or blurriness. A clear, well-lit photo ensures your image is easily recognizable and projects a professional impression. Avoid images that are too dark, overexposed, or out of focus.

  • Appropriate Framing: When cropping, ensure your face is clearly visible and centrally positioned if it is a headshot. Leave some space around the head and shoulders to avoid a cramped appearance. The goal is immediate recognition.

  • Consistent Branding (Organisational Accounts): If managing an organisational profile, ensure the profile photo adheres to your organisation's branding guidelines, using approved logos or representative imagery. Consistency reinforces brand identity.

  • File Size Optimisation: While high resolution is beneficial, be mindful of excessively large file sizes. The platform typically handles optimisation, but starting with a reasonably sized file (e.g., under 5MB) can prevent upload delays and ensure efficient loading for other users.

  • Regular Review and Updates: Periodically review your profile photo to ensure it remains current and accurately represents you or your organisation. An outdated photo can lead to confusion, particularly if your appearance or branding has significantly changed.

  • Consider Accessibility: Ensure your profile photo is clear and easily distinguishable. Avoid overly busy backgrounds or complex imagery that might be difficult for all users to interpret, contributing to a more inclusive platform experience.
