How to use it
Follow these steps to select and manage experiences for your insider portal:
Select Your Insider Portal
Upon accessing the Product Selection interface, verify that you are working within the correct insider portal.
If managing multiple portals, use the dropdown menu at the top of the page to select the specific portal you wish to update.
Browse Available Experiences
The main area of the screen displays a comprehensive catalogue of all experiences available within your system.
Use the search bar to locate specific experiences by name or provider.
Apply filters to narrow down the list by category (e.g., Accommodation, Activities, Tours), location, or experience tags.
Add Experiences to Your Portal
To add an experience, locate it in the available experiences list.
Click the Add to Portal button or drag and drop the experience directly into the Selected Experiences panel on the right side of the screen.
You can add multiple experiences sequentially.
Review and Re-order Selected Experiences
The Selected Experiences panel displays all items currently designated for your insider portal.
Experiences are initially added in the order they are selected.
To re-order them, click and drag experiences to their desired position within the list. This order will reflect their display on the live portal.
Remove Experiences
Should an experience no longer be suitable for your insider portal, locate it in the Selected Experiences panel and click the Remove icon (typically an 'X' or rubbish bin icon) next to its listing.
Confirm the removal when prompted.
Real-time Portal Preview
Before finalising changes, use the Preview Portal button to view how your selected experiences will appear to your insider audience.
This allows for a real-time visual check of the layout and content.
Save Changes
Once you are satisfied with your experience selection and organisation, click the Save Changes button, typically located at the top or bottom of the screen.
This action publishes your updates, making them live on your insider portal.
Unsaved changes will be lost if you navigate away from the page.
Tips
Clearly understand the preferences, interests, and demographics of your insider community. Tailor experience selections to resonate directly with their specific needs and expectations.
Select experiences that offer unique experiences, special access, or enhanced value not readily available to the general public. This reinforces the exclusive nature of the insider portal.
Regularly review and refresh your experience selections. Remove outdated or underperforming experiences and introduce new, exciting offerings to keep your portal engaging and relevant.
Monitor experience performance within your insider portal. Analyse engagement rates, booking conversions, and feedback to inform future selection decisions and optimise offerings.
Only feature high-quality experiences from reputable providers that consistently offer excellent service and reliable availability. Discrepancies can erode trust and diminish the portal's value.
Use the re-ordering functionality to group similar experiences, highlight new additions, or feature seasonal offerings prominently. A logical layout enhances user experience and discoverability.
Ensure your experience selections support broader organisational goals, whether that's increasing bookings for specific regions, promoting sustainable tourism, or showcasing local operators.
Consider creating themed collections of experiences to cater to specific interests. Regularly update your selections to keep the portal fresh and engaging.
Use the preview function to ensure the portal looks appealing to your insiders.
