How to use it

Managing insider profiles involves a systematic approach to identification, categorisation, and ongoing review. Follow these steps to effectively use the feature:

Add New Insider Profile:

  1. Go to Insider.

  2. Click the New button.

  3. Enter the insider's Full Name, Email Address, and any other relevant contact details.

  4. Assign a Role/Category (e.g., Staff, Tester, Partner, Administrator). This categorisation is crucial for reporting.

  5. Provide an optional Internal Note for context or specific instructions related to this profile.

  6. Click Save.

Configure Data Exclusion Settings:

  1. For each insider profile, specify how their data should impact system analytics.

  2. Toggle the Exclude from General Analytics option to prevent their interactions (e.g., bookings, page views, enquiries) from being included in public-facing reports or general guest metrics.

  3. Optionally, select specific reports or dashboards where insider data should be included for testing or internal performance analysis.

Review and Update Existing Profiles:

  1. Regularly review the list of insider profiles to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  2. To edit an existing profile, locate the insider using the search bar or filters, then click on their name.

  3. Make necessary adjustments to their details, role, exclusion settings.

  4. Click Save to apply updates.

  • Regularly review all insider profiles to ensure they are current.

  • Standardise the roles or categories used for insiders to streamline reporting.
