The Upcoming Bookings widget displays all confirmed future bookings. Tourism operators can proactively manage staffing for popular experiences, such as scheduling extra staff for a busy weekend wine tour, ensuring a smooth guest experience and avoiding overbookings.

Accessing this feature

Go to Dashboard. The Upcoming Bookings widget is located on the Dashboard.

How to use it

  1. Identify the Upcoming Bookings widget on your Launchpad Dashboard.

  2. The default configuration displays a condensed list of your most immediate future bookings.

  3. Review the default display, which presents key information for each upcoming booking.

  4. To reorder the displayed bookings, look for sorting options (often represented by arrows or a dropdown menu next to column headers). You can typically sort by:

  • Date

  • Experience Name

  • Guest Name

  1. Apply date range filters to refine the list of bookings displayed. Use the date range selector (e.g., Next 7 Days, Next 30 Days, Custom Range) to focus on specific planning horizons. This is particularly useful for long-term resource allocation or short-term daily operational checks.

  2. To ensure you are viewing the most current information, locate the refresh icon (often a circular arrow) within the widget. Clicking this will synchronise the widget with the latest data from your primary booking system.

  3. For a comprehensive understanding of any specific booking, click on its entry within the widget. This action will direct you to the full booking details page, where you can access all associated information, make amendments, or communicate with the guest.

  4. If the widget displays a limited number of bookings, a View All Bookings or similar link will be available. Clicking this will take you to the main bookings management section, providing an exhaustive list of all active bookings beyond the widget's immediate scope.

Tips

  • Make a daily review of the widget a standard operational procedure. This ensures you are always aware of immediate upcoming activities, potential changes, and resource requirements for the day ahead.

  • Use the widget's summary to proactively allocate staff, equipment, and other resources. Identifying peak times or specific service requirements early allows for more efficient and effective resource deployment.

  • While the widget synchronises automatically, periodically cross-reference critical booking details with your primary booking system, especially for high-value or complex bookings, to ensure absolute accuracy.

  • Regularly use the date range filters to plan for different time horizons. For instance, review Next 7 Days for immediate operational planning and Next 30 Days for broader scheduling and marketing adjustments.

  • Encourage all relevant team members to access and use the widget. A shared, consistent view of upcoming bookings fosters better internal communication and a unified approach to guest service.
