About Section

Overview

The About section allows you to tell your organisation's story, showcase your expertise, and build trust with visitors. This is where you explain who you are, what you do, and why visitors should choose you.

What's Included

  • Bio/Description: Rich text content about your organisation

  • Areas of Expertise: Display your key skills and specializations

  • Custom Content Blocks: Add text, images, videos, or files

  • Flexible Layout: Choose from 1, 2, or 3 column layouts

Configuration Options

Content

  • About Content: Rich text editor for your main story

  • About Image: Optional image to accompany your content

  • Image Position: Choose where the image appears (left, right, top, bottom)

  • Content Blocks: Add multiple content blocks with:

    • Text (HTML content)

    • Images (with captions)

    • Files/Documents (downloadable resources)

    • Videos (YouTube, Vimeo, or direct links)

    • Embed codes (for custom content)

Layout

  • 1 Column: Full-width content

  • 2 Columns: Side-by-side layout

  • 3 Columns: Three-column grid

Files

  • Upload downloadable documents (PDFs, brochures, etc.)

  • Files appear as download links in the section

Best Practices

  1. Tell Your Story: Share your mission, values, and what makes you unique

  2. Be Authentic: Write in your own voice

  3. Highlight Expertise: Clearly list your areas of expertise

  4. Use Visuals: Include images or videos to break up text

  5. Keep it Scannable: Use headings, bullet points, and short paragraphs

Example Content Structure

  1. Opening: Brief introduction (1-2 sentences)

Troubleshooting

Content not displaying?

  • Ensure the About section is enabled in your microsite configuration

  • Check that you have content in the About Content field or content blocks

Images not showing?

  • Verify image URLs are correct and accessible

  • Ensure images are in supported formats (JPG, PNG, WebP)

Formatting issues?

  • Use the rich text editor for proper formatting

  • Avoid copying from Word documents (use "Paste as Plain Text" first)
