Overview

The Hero section is the first thing visitors see when they land on your microsite. It's your opportunity to make a strong first impression with your logo, organisation name, tagline, and a compelling call-to-action.

What's Included

  • Organisation Logo: Display your logo prominently

  • Organisation Name: Your business name

  • Tagline: A short, memorable tagline

  • Description: Brief description of your organisation

  • Verification Badge: Show your Tourism Insider verification status (if applicable)

  • Location: Display your city and state

  • Website Link: Quick link to your main website

  • Call-to-Action Button: Customizable button linking to contact or other sections

Configuration Options

Hero Style

Choose from three styles:

  • Full: Full-width hero with background gradient

  • Split: Split layout with image and content side-by-side

  • Minimal: Clean, minimal design

Display Options

  • Show Logo: Toggle organisation logo display

  • Show Organisation Name: Toggle organisation name

  • Show Tagline: Display your tagline

  • Show Description: Include organisation description

  • Show Verification Badge: Display verification status (for Tourism Insiders)

Hero Images

  • Upload multiple images for a slideshow

  • Set auto-advance interval (default: 5 seconds)

  • Add captions and alt text for accessibility

Call-to-Action

  • CTA Text: Button label (e.g., "Get in Touch", "Book Now")

  • CTA Link: Where the button links to (e.g., "#contact", external URL)

Best Practices

  1. Keep it Simple: Don't overcrowd the hero section

  2. Strong Tagline: Use a clear, benefit-focused tagline

  3. High-Quality Images: Use professional, high-resolution images

  4. Clear CTA: Make your call-to-action obvious and action-oriented

  5. Mobile First: Ensure your hero looks great on mobile devices

Tourism Insider

  • Style: Full

  • Show: Logo, Name, Tagline, Verification Badge

  • CTA: "Book a Consultation" β†’ Contact section

Tourism Organisation

  • Style: Split

  • Show: Logo, Name, Tagline, Description

  • CTA: "View Our Products" β†’ Products section

Troubleshooting

Logo not displaying?

  • Ensure your organisation has a logo uploaded in settings

  • Check that "Show Logo" is enabled in hero settings

CTA button not working?

  • Verify the CTA link is correctly formatted (use "#section" for internal links)

  • For external links, include the full URL with https://
