Add businesses and organisations to your CRM database

Adding a Client

Clients are the businesses and organisations you work with. Adding them to your CRM creates a central record for all interactions, contacts, and documents.

How to add a client

  • Go to CRM from the main menu

  • Select Clients from the hub menu

  • Click Add Client in the top right

  • Choose how to add the client (see options below)

  • Complete the details

  • Click Save

Adding options

Search for an existing business

Launchpad can help you find and auto-fill business details:

  • Click Search Business

  • Type the business name

  • Results appear from Google Places and ATDW

  • Click a result to select it

  • Details are automatically filled in

  • Review and adjust as needed

  • Click Save

This saves time and ensures accurate information.

Enter details manually

If you prefer to enter details yourself:

  • Click Skip Search or just start typing

  • Fill in the required fields (see below)

  • Click Save

Client information

Required fields

  • Client Name — the business or organisation name

  • Business Type — select the category that fits best

  • Location — where they're based (use the location picker)

Optional fields

  • Contact Person — your main contact's name

  • Email — primary email address

  • Phone — contact phone number

After adding

Once saved, your client appears in the Clients list. The client record includes:

  • Details tab — business information you entered

  • Contacts tab — people at this organisation

  • Products tab — linked products (if applicable)

  • Activities tab — history of interactions

Auto-enrichment

When you add a client, Launchpad can automatically enrich the record with additional information:

  • Website URL

  • Social media profiles

  • Additional contact details

  • Business description

This happens in the background and updates the record automatically.

Connecting to your organisation

If your organisation has sponsorship relationships, new clients may be automatically assigned based on their region or category.

Tips for adding clients

  • Use search first — it's faster and more accurate

  • Choose the right type — helps with filtering and reporting later

  • Add contact details — makes it easy to reach them

  • Be consistent — use standard naming conventions

Bulk importing clients

Have lots of clients to add? Use bulk import:

  • Go to Clients

  • Click Bulk Import

  • Upload a CSV file with your client data

  • Map the columns to Launchpad fields

  • Review and confirm the import


Building your client database is the first step to better relationship management.
