Creating a Marketing Campaign
A marketing campaign brings together your messages, channels, and timing into one coordinated effort. Whether you're promoting a seasonal special, launching a new experience, or boosting bookings during a quiet period, campaigns help you stay organised and measure results.
What is a campaign?
A campaign is a planned marketing effort with:
A clear goal — what you want to achieve
A defined audience — who you're reaching
Specific timing — when it runs
Coordinated content — consistent messaging across channels
Measurable results — tracking what works
Creating your first campaign
Step 1: Start a new campaign
Step 2: Set your campaign goal
Choose what you want to achieve:
Increase bookings — drive direct reservations
Build awareness — reach new potential visitors
Grow email list — capture new subscribers
Promote event — fill seats for a specific event
Seasonal push — capitalise on a holiday or season
Your goal shapes everything else — content, channels, and how you measure success.
Step 3: Define your audience
Select who you're targeting:
Existing customers — people who've booked before
Email subscribers — your mailing list
Website visitors — people who've shown interest
New audiences — people who don't know you yet
Specific personas — from your marketing profile
Step 4: Choose your channels
Select where your campaign will run:
Email — newsletters and promotional emails
Social media — posts on your connected accounts
Website — banners, pop-ups, or landing pages
Paid advertising — boosted posts or ads
Print — brochures, flyers, or signage
You don't need to use every channel. Start with one or two you're comfortable with.
Step 5: Set your timeline
Define when your campaign runs:
Set the start date — when content begins publishing
Set the end date — when the campaign concludes
Plan key milestones — launch, mid-campaign push, final call
For seasonal campaigns, plan to start promotion 4-6 weeks before the season begins.
Step 6: Add campaign content
Create or assign content to your campaign:

Step 7: Launch your campaign
