Archiving a Product
When a product is no longer available, archiving removes it from active listings while keeping all the information for your records. This is better than deleting because you maintain your history.
When to archive
Consider archiving when:
A seasonal product has ended for the year
You've discontinued a product permanently
You're replacing a product with an updated version
A product is temporarily unavailable for an extended period
You need to clean up your product list
Archive vs. Inactive vs. Delete
Understanding your options:
Action | Visible to customers | Bookable | Data preserved | Can restore |
Active | Yes | Yes | Yes | N/A |
Inactive | No | No | Yes | Yes |
Archived | No | No | Yes | Yes |
Deleted | No | No | No | No |
Inactive is best for temporary pauses β you plan to bring it back soon. Archived is best for products you don't expect to offer again, but want to keep records of. Delete permanently removes everything β use with caution.
