Inviting New Operators to Join

Growing your regional tourism network starts with bringing operators onto the platform. Whether you've met a new business at an event or identified a gap in your tourism offering, inviting operators is straightforward. Here's how to do it effectively.

Why Invite Operators?

Inviting operators directly offers several advantages:

  • Faster onboarding: Your invitation includes a direct link, streamlining their sign-up

  • Personal touch: Operators appreciate being personally invited by their regional manager

  • Better conversion: Invited operators are more likely to complete their registration

  • Regional awareness: You stay informed about new businesses joining your network

How to Send an Invitation

Single Invitation

  • Navigate to your regional dashboard at /regional

  • Click the Invite Operator button (found in quick actions or the Operators section)

  • Enter the operator's details:

- Business name - Contact person's name - Email address - Phone number (optional) - Business category

  • Add a personal message if you'd like (recommended)

  • Click Send Invitation

The operator will receive an email with your personal message and a unique link to begin their registration.

Bulk Invitations

If you have multiple operators to invite:

  • Go to Operators > Invite Operators

  • Click Bulk Invite

  • Download the CSV template

  • Fill in the template with your operator details

  • Upload the completed file

  • Review the preview and confirm

  • Click Send All Invitations

Crafting an Effective Invitation Message

Your personal message can make a real difference. Consider including:

  • A warm greeting and introduction

  • Why you think they'd benefit from joining

  • A brief mention of what the platform offers

  • Your availability to help them get started

Example message:

"G'day! I'm [Your Name], the regional tourism manager for [Region]. I'd love to invite you to join Tourism Accelerator, where you can showcase your business to visitors planning their trips to our region. The platform is free to join and I'm here to help you every step of the way. Looking forward to having you on board!"

Tracking Your Invitations

Keep tabs on your invitations to follow up when needed:

  • Go to Operators > Invitations

  • View the status of each invitation:

- Sent: Invitation delivered, awaiting response - Opened: Recipient has viewed the email - Started: They've begun registration - Completed: They've finished and are pending approval - Expired: No response within 30 days

Following Up on Invitations

For invitations that haven't been actioned:

  • Find the invitation in your list

  • Click Resend to send a reminder

  • Or click Copy Link to share via other channels

Consider following up with a phone call for high-priority operators—sometimes a personal conversation is all they need to get started.

Tips for Successful Invitations

  • Time it right: Send invitations during business hours for better open rates

  • Be specific: Mention something unique about their business to show genuine interest

  • Offer support: Let them know you're available to help with questions

  • Follow up: A gentle reminder after a week can prompt action

Building a strong network of operators takes time, but each invitation brings you one step closer to showcasing the best of what your region has to offer.
