Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds extra security to your account. When enabled, you'll need both your password and a code sent to your phone to sign in.
Why use 2FA?
2FA protects your account even if someone discovers your password:
Extra verification — a code is sent to your phone each time you sign in
Theft protection — attackers would need your phone as well as your password
Peace of mind — know your business data is secure
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA for all accounts.
Before you start
You'll need:
Access to a mobile phone that can receive SMS
Your phone nearby to receive the verification code
How to enable 2FA
Go to Settings from the main menu
Click the Security tab
Find Two-Factor Authentication
Click Enable 2FA
Enter your mobile phone number
Click Send Verification Code
Check your phone for an SMS with a 6-digit code
Enter the code in Launchpad
Click Verify and Enable
2FA is now active on your account.
Signing in with 2FA
After enabling 2FA, signing in works like this:
Enter your email and password as usual
Launchpad sends a code to your phone
Enter the code when prompted
You're signed in
The code expires after a few minutes, so enter it promptly.
Managing your 2FA
Viewing your 2FA status
Go to Settings
Find the Two-Factor Authentication section
You'll see your enrolled phone number
Changing your phone number
If you get a new phone number:
Remove the current 2FA method
Re-enable 2FA with your new number
Removing 2FA
To disable 2FA (not recommended):
Go to Settings
Find Two-Factor Authentication
Click Remove next to your phone number
Confirm the removal
Your account will now use password-only authentication.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving the code
Check you entered the correct phone number
Wait a minute — codes can take time to arrive
Check your phone isn't blocking unknown numbers
Try requesting a new code
Code not working
Make sure you're entering the most recent code
Codes expire after a few minutes — request a new one
Enter the code without spaces
Locked out of your account
If you can't access your phone or receive codes:
Contact Launchpad support
We'll verify your identity
You may need to reset your 2FA
Best practices
Keep your phone secure — it's now part of your login
Update your number promptly — if it changes, update 2FA immediately
Don't share codes — they're for your use only
Enable on all accounts — protect everyone in your organisation
2FA is one of the best ways to protect your account — it only takes a minute to set up.
