Updating Your Profile

Your contractor profile is your professional presence in the Tourism Accelerator. A complete and current profile helps operators find you for suitable work and ensures smooth communication and payments.

Why Your Profile Matters

A well-maintained profile:

  • Helps operators find contractors with the right skills

  • Ensures you receive relevant job offers

  • Keeps your payment details accurate

  • Makes communication seamless

  • Builds trust with tourism operators

Accessing Your Profile

  • Sign in to the Contractor Portal at /contractor

  • Click on your name or profile picture in the top navigation

  • Select Edit Profile from the dropdown menu

Profile Sections

Your profile is organised into several sections. Let's go through each one.

Personal Information

This section includes your basic details:

Your legal name as it appears on official documents

Preferred Name

What you'd like operators to call you

Email Address

Your primary contact email

Phone Number

Your mobile number for urgent communications

Profile Photo

A professional headshot helps operators recognise you

Note: Use a clear, professional photo where your face is visible. This helps operators identify you on-site.

Contact Preferences

Choose how you'd like to be contacted:

  • Email notifications — Assignment offers, approvals, and updates

  • SMS alerts — Urgent notifications and reminders

  • In-app notifications — Updates visible when you sign in

You can enable or disable each type depending on your preferences.

Work Preferences

Help operators match you with suitable work:

  • Work types — Select the kinds of work you're interested in (tours, events, hospitality, etc.)

  • Travel radius — How far you're willing to travel for assignments

  • Preferred locations — Specific areas or venues you prefer

  • Minimum hours — The shortest assignment you'll accept

  • Maximum hours — The most hours you can work in a day or week

Being specific about your preferences means more relevant offers and fewer declines.

Payment Details

Ensure you get paid correctly and on time:

  • Navigate to the Payment Details section of your profile

  • Enter or update your bank account information:

- Account name (must match your legal name) - BSB number - Account number

  • Double-check all details before saving

  • Click Save Payment Details

Important: Incorrect payment details can delay your earnings. Verify this information carefully.

Emergency Contact

Add an emergency contact for safety:

  • Contact name

  • Relationship

  • Phone number

This information is shared with operators in case of emergency during an assignment.

Uploading a Profile Photo

A good profile photo:

  • Shows your face clearly

  • Is recent and looks like you

  • Has good lighting

  • Uses a neutral or professional background

To upload or change your photo:

  • Click on the photo area in your profile

  • Select Upload New Photo

  • Choose an image from your device

  • Crop if needed

  • Click Save

Saving Your Changes

After making any updates:

  • Review your changes at the bottom of the page

  • Click Save Profile

  • You'll see a confirmation message when saved successfully

Changes take effect immediately and are visible to operators.

Keeping Your Profile Current

We recommend reviewing your profile:

  • When your contact details change

  • When you move to a new address

  • When your work preferences change

  • When you gain new qualifications

  • At least once every few months

An up-to-date profile shows operators that you're engaged and professional.

Privacy and Your Information

Your profile information is shared with operators only as needed:

  • Always visible: Name, photo, qualifications, work preferences

  • Visible when booked: Contact details, emergency contact

  • Never shared: Payment details (used only for payments)

You control your own profile and can update it at any time.
