Stay informed about new opportunities and important updates without being overwhelmed. The Contractor Portal lets you customise your notification preferences to suit your work style.

Timely notifications help you:
Respond quickly to new assignment offers
Never miss urgent updates from operators

Types of Notifications
The Contractor Portal sends several types of notifications:

Notification Channels
You can receive notifications through multiple channels:
Email Notifications
Detailed notifications sent to your registered email address. Best for:
Non-urgent updates you can review later
Detailed information about assignments
Records you want to keep
SMS Notifications
Short text messages to your mobile phone. Best for:
Urgent assignment offers that need quick response
Last-minute schedule changes
Time-sensitive reminders
In-App Notifications
Alerts visible when you sign in to the portal. Best for:
General updates and announcements
Reviewing notifications at your convenience

Accessing Notification Settings
Sign in to the Contractor Portal at
/contractorClick on your profile name in the navigation
Select Notification Settings from the menu
You'll see all your notification preferences
Customising Your Preferences
For each notification type, you can choose which channels to use:
Assignment Notifications

Recommendation: Enable SMS for new offers so you can respond quickly.

Setting Quiet Hours
If you don't want to receive SMS notifications at certain times:
Go to Notification Settings
Find the Quiet Hours section
Set your preferred start and end times
SMS notifications during these hours will be held until quiet hours end
Note: Urgent notifications from operators may still come through during quiet hours.
Email Digest Options
Instead of individual emails, you can receive a summary:
Go to Notification Settings
Find the Email Digest section
Choose your preference:
- Individual emails — Receive each notification separately - Daily digest — One summary email each day - Weekly digest — One summary email each week
Individual emails are recommended for assignment offers to ensure quick response.
Managing Notification Overload
If you're receiving too many notifications:
Review your availability — If you're marked as available when you're not, you'll receive offers you need to decline
Refine work preferences — Narrower preferences mean fewer irrelevant offers
Use digest settings — Consolidate less urgent notifications
Disable low-priority channels — Keep essential notifications, disable duplicates
Troubleshooting Notification Issues
Not Receiving Email Notifications
Check your spam or junk folder
Verify your email address in your profile
Add the Tourism Accelerator domain to your contacts
Check that email notifications are enabled
Not Receiving SMS Notifications
Verify your mobile number in your profile
Check that SMS notifications are enabled
Ensure your phone can receive SMS
Check you're not in quiet hours
Notifications Delayed
SMS and email may have slight delays
In-app notifications are typically instant
Check your internet connection for in-app notifications
Saving Your Preferences
After making changes:
Review your selected preferences
Click Save Notification Settings
You'll see a confirmation message
Changes take effect immediately
Best Practices
Enable SMS for offers — Quick responses lead to more confirmed work
Use email for records — Keep important notifications for reference
Review regularly — Adjust settings as your work patterns change
Don't disable everything — You might miss important opportunities
