Connect your ATDW listing to Launchpad
If your business already has an Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing, you don't need to retype anything into Launchpad. Search for your business, pick it from the results, and Launchpad will bring across your name, description, photos, location, contact details, and category. Your product is ready to use in Launchpad straight away.
Update something on ATDW later — a new photo, a price tweak, a fresh description — and Launchpad will show you the change next to your product so you can accept or skip it. ATDW always holds the master copy. You always get the final say on what shows in Launchpad.
Before you start
You need an active ATDW listing. If you don't have one yet, your state or territory tourism organisation can help you get one — visit atdw.com.au to find yours.
Know your business name on ATDW. Launchpad searches ATDW by name, so it helps to know exactly how the listing is spelled before you start.
Bring in your first listing during setup
When you first set up Launchpad, you'll be asked to add your business. This is where most operators import their ATDW listing for the first time.
In the setup flow, choose Find me on ATDW. Type your business name into the search box — for example, Maggie Beer's Farm Shop. Pick your business from the results (Launchpad will show the name, location, and category so you can confirm it's the right one), then click Use this listing.
Everything from your ATDW listing comes across in seconds — name, description, photos, address, contact details, opening hours, and category. You can list the product for sale, take bookings, and share it with trade right away.
Have more than one ATDW listing? Add the rest later
A lot of tourism businesses have several ATDW listings. You might have one for your venue, another for a tour, and a third for an experience. Some businesses also sit under more than one ATDW organisation — for example, a hotel group with separate listings for each property.
Whatever your setup, you can bring all of them into Launchpad. The first one goes in during setup. The rest you add from the Tourism Products page.
Open Tourism Products and click Add product. Choose Find me on ATDW and search for the next listing — you can search by business name, product name, or by your second organisation's name. Pick it from the results and click Use this listing. Repeat for each additional ATDW listing you want in Launchpad.
Each one becomes its own product in Launchpad, with its own pricing, availability, and bookings — but all sit under the same Launchpad account so you can manage them together.
What comes across from ATDW
Business or product name | From your ATDW listing title |
Description | From your ATDW listing description |
Photos | All approved ATDW images, in full resolution |
Location and address | From your ATDW address record |
Contact details | Phone, email, and website |
Category | Product type (Tour, Accommodation, Attraction, and so on) |
Opening hours | From your ATDW operating hours, if listed |
Pricing, availability, and the way you take bookings get set up inside Launchpad — ATDW doesn't hold those.
Updates from ATDW flow through automatically
Once your listing is connected, Launchpad keeps watching ATDW for you. Any time you update your ATDW listing — fresh photos, a new description, opening hours for a long weekend — Launchpad picks the change up and shows it next to your product as a proposed update.
You'll get a notification in Launchpad. Accept the change and Launchpad will update your product to match what's now on ATDW. Skip the change and Launchpad keeps the version you have.
This means you only update photos and descriptions once — on ATDW — and the change is ready to flow everywhere else. You decide what goes live in Launchpad.
Troubleshoot
I can't find my business in the search
Try a shorter search first — just the first one or two distinctive words of your business name. Check the spelling on your live ATDW listing matches what you're typing. If your listing is brand new on ATDW, give it a few hours: newly approved listings can take a short time to appear.
If your business sits under a parent organisation, try searching for the organisation name as well. If you still can't find it, get in touch and we'll help you sort it out.
The wrong photos came across
Launchpad imports every approved photo on your ATDW listing, so if you have old or low-quality ones still attached on ATDW, they'll come across too. You can delete any photo from inside Launchpad and that won't change your ATDW listing.
To replace photos everywhere, update them on ATDW. The new ones will flow through to Launchpad as a proposed change.
I skipped a change but want it now
Open the product in Tourism Products and check the ATDW updates panel — past changes are kept there. You can apply the change from that list, or just update the field directly in Launchpad.
One of my listings isn't updating from ATDW
Open the product in Tourism Products and check the connection status. Make sure the ATDW listing is still active and hasn't been archived by your state tourism organisation. If everything looks right but updates aren't coming through, get in touch — we can manually re-trigger the sync.
