Creating a Program

As a regional manager, you can create training programs to help tourism operators in your region develop their skills and grow their businesses.

Before you begin

You'll need:

  • Regional manager access in Launchpad

  • A clear idea of your program's objectives

  • Content ready (or a plan to add it later)

How to create a program

  • Go to Programs from the main menu

  • Click Manage Programs (or access via your regional dashboard)

  • Click Create Program

  • Fill in the program details

Basic information

Program name Choose a clear, descriptive name that tells operators what they'll learn. Good examples:

  • "Digital Marketing Essentials for Tourism"

  • "Customer Service Excellence Program"

  • "Sustainability in Tourism Certification"

Description Write a compelling summary that answers:

  • What will participants learn?

  • Who is this program for?

  • What outcomes can they expect?

Program type Select the format:

  • Self-paced — participants complete at their own speed

  • Cohort-based — participants progress together through intakes

  • Blended — combination of online and in-person elements

Program settings

Visibility

  • Public — visible to all operators in your region

  • Private — only visible to invited participants

  • Draft — hidden while you build content

Enrolment

  • Open — anyone can enrol

  • Application required — you approve each enrolment

  • Invitation only — you invite specific participants

Duration Set an expected completion timeframe to help participants plan.

Adding content

After creating the basic program, add your learning content:

  • Click Add Course to create course modules

  • Structure courses into logical sections

  • Add lessons, resources, and assessments

  • Set completion requirements

See Adding Courses to a Program for detailed instructions.

Program structure

A well-organised program typically includes:
