Listing Your Business in the Marketplace

Getting your business listed in the Tourism Accelerator Marketplace is your first step towards greater visibility and valuable connections. This guide walks you through the process from start to finish.

Before You Begin

To create a listing, you'll need:

  • An active Tourism Accelerator account

  • Your business details (ABN, contact information, address)

  • A clear description of your services

  • High-quality photos of your business (recommended)

  • Your operating hours and seasonal availability

Creating Your Listing

Step 1: Access the Marketplace

Log in to your Tourism Accelerator account

Navigate to /marketplace

Click the "List Your Business" button in the top right corner

Step 2: Choose Your Business Category

Select the primary category that best describes your operation:

Accommodation – Hotels, motels, B&Bs, holiday rentals, caravan parks

Tours & Experiences – Guided tours, adventure activities, cultural experiences

Food & Dining – Restaurants, cafes, wineries, food producers

Attractions – Museums, galleries, natural attractions, theme parks

Services – Transport, equipment hire, travel agents

Events – Venues, event organisers, entertainment

You can select additional secondary categories later to ensure you appear in relevant searches.

Step 3: Enter Your Business Details

Complete the following information: Basic Information

Business name (as you want it displayed)

Business description (up to 500 words)

Physical address

Contact phone number

Email address

Website URL (if applicable)

Operating Details

Operating hours

Seasonal availability

Booking requirements

Price range indicator

Step 4: Add Your Photos

Photos make a significant difference to your listing's appeal. We recommend:

Hero image – Your main photo that appears in search results (minimum 1200x800 pixels)

Gallery images – 5-10 additional photos showcasing different aspects of your business

Team photos – Help visitors connect with the people behind your business

Photo Tips:

Use natural lighting where possible

Show your space with people enjoying it

Capture what makes your business unique

Ensure images are clear and high-resolution

Step 5: Describe Your Services

This is where you tell your story. Write a compelling description that:

Explains what you offer and what makes it special

Highlights unique features or experiences

Mentions any awards, certifications, or recognitions

Includes relevant keywords visitors might search for

Reflects your brand personality

Step 6: Set Your Location

Confirm your business location on the map. This helps:

Visitors find you easily

Your listing appear in location-based searches

Fellow operators identify partnership opportunities nearby

Step 7: Review and Submit

Before submitting:

Preview how your listing will appear

Check all information is accurate

Verify your contact details are correct

Confirm your photos display properly

Click "Submit Listing" when you're satisfied.

What Happens Next

After submission, your listing goes through a brief verification process:

Review – Our team checks your listing meets community guidelines

Verification – We confirm your business details

Approval – Your listing goes live in the Marketplace

Notification – You receive an email confirming your listing is active

This process typically takes 1-2 business days.
