Setting Your Map Location

Your map pin helps customers find you. Here's how to set your exact location.

How to set your location

  • Go to My Business from the main menu

  • Click Edit Profile

  • Scroll to the Location section

  • Enter your address or drag the map pin

  • Confirm the pin is in the right spot

  • Click Save

Using the address search

  • Type your street address in the search field

  • Select the correct address from suggestions

  • The map will centre on that location

  • Adjust the pin if needed

Manually positioning the pin

If the address search isn't accurate:

  • Zoom the map to your area

  • Click and drag the pin to the exact spot

  • Release when positioned correctly

  • Save your changes

Tips for accuracy

Be precise

  • Place the pin at your actual entrance

  • Not just the general area

  • Check from street view if available

For remote locations

  • If you're off main roads, position carefully

  • Add directions in your description

  • Consider landmarks customers can use

For mobile operations

  • Pin your meeting point

  • Clearly describe where customers should go

  • Update if your location changes

Service areas

If you operate across a region:

  • Set your base location

  • Add service area information

  • Specify regions you cover

  • Include this in your description

Multiple locations

If you have multiple venues:

  • Create separate profiles for each location

  • Or note additional locations in your description

  • Contact support for multi-location setup

What customers see

Your location appears on:

  • Your business profile

  • Search results with map view

  • Product listings

  • Partner directories

Customers can:

  • View on the map

  • Get directions

  • See distance from their location

Troubleshooting

Address not found

  • Try a nearby street address

  • Manually position the pin

  • Include suburb and postcode

Pin in wrong spot

  • Drag to correct position

  • Zoom in for accuracy

  • Save and verify

An accurate location means customers can find you easily β€” take a moment to get it right.
