Connecting Stripe
Stripe is a secure payment platform that lets you accept credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets. Connecting Stripe to Launchpad enables online payments for your bookings.

Stripe is the preferred payment processor for Launchpad because it offers:

Before you start
You'll need:
Business details — ABN, business address, contact information
Bank account — Australian bank account for receiving payouts
ID verification — personal identification for account holder
10 minutes — the setup process is straightforward
Connecting Stripe to Launchpad
Step 1: Start the connection
Go to Settings > Payments
Find the Payment Gateway section
Click Connect with Stripe
You'll be redirected to Stripe
Step 2: Create or sign in to Stripe
If you're new to Stripe:
Click Create Account
Enter your email address
Create a password
Verify your email
If you have an existing Stripe account:
Click Sign In
Enter your Stripe credentials
Choose the Stripe account to connect
Step 3: Enter business details
Stripe will ask for:
Business information
Legal business name
Trading name (if different)
ABN or ACN
Business address
Industry type (select "Tourism" or "Recreation")
Bank account
BSB number
Account number
Account holder name
Personal verification
Full name
Date of birth
Home address
Government ID (driver's licence or passport)
Step 4: Complete verification
Review all information
Accept Stripe's terms of service
Click Submit or Complete Setup
You'll be redirected back to Launchpad
Step 5: Confirm connection
Back in Launchpad:
You should see "Stripe Connected" in Payment Settings
Your Stripe account ID will be displayed
You're ready to accept payments
Testing your setup
Before taking real payments:
Create a test booking
Go through the payment flow
Use Stripe's test card:

Stripe Dashboard
Your Stripe Dashboard is separate from Launchpad and lets you:
View all transactions
Configure payout schedules
Download financial reports
Manage refunds
Handle disputes
Access it at dashboard.stripe.com.
Payout configuration
Setting your payout schedule
In your Stripe Dashboard:
Go to Settings > Payouts
Choose your payout frequency:
- Daily — get funds every business day - Weekly — get funds every week - Monthly — get funds once per month
Set your preferred day (for weekly/monthly)
Save changes
Payout timing
Funds typically take:
2-3 business days for domestic cards
5-7 business days for international cards
Weekends and holidays may add time.
Understanding fees
Standard Stripe fees
Stripe charges per successful transaction:
Domestic cards — 1.75% + $0.30
International cards — 2.9% + $0.30
No monthly fees — you only pay when you get paid
Example
For a $200 booking paid with an Australian credit card:
Transaction fee: $200 × 1.75% + $0.30 = $3.80
You receive: $196.20
Managing multiple accounts
If you have multiple Stripe accounts:
Go to Settings > Payments
Click Change Stripe Account
Sign in to the correct Stripe account
Confirm the new connection
Disconnecting Stripe
If you need to disconnect:
Go to Settings > Payments
Find your Stripe connection
Click Disconnect
Confirm the disconnection
Note: Disconnecting means you can't accept online payments until you reconnect.
Troubleshooting
Connection failed
If the connection doesn't complete:
Check your internet connection
Try a different browser
Clear your browser cache
Ensure pop-ups are allowed
Try again from the start
Verification issues
If Stripe asks for additional verification:
Check the email from Stripe for specific requests
Provide the requested documents
Wait for Stripe's review (usually 1-2 business days)
Contact Stripe support if delayed
Payments not appearing
If a customer payment isn't showing:
Check your Stripe Dashboard for the transaction
Look in Launchpad booking records
Verify the payment completed (not just attempted)
Check for any error messages
Contact support if the payment exists but isn't syncing
Wrong Stripe account connected
If you connected the wrong account:
Disconnect the current account
Reconnect with the correct account
Outstanding payouts go to the original account

Only access from trusted devices
Review activity regularly

Only Admins should manage payment settings
