Integration Settings

Launchpad connects with other tools and services to extend your capabilities. Integration settings let you manage these connections and control how data flows between systems.

What are integrations?

Integrations connect Launchpad to external services:

  • Payment processors — accept online payments

  • Email marketing — sync contacts and send campaigns

  • Accounting software — sync invoices and transactions

  • Channel managers — distribute to booking platforms

  • Calendar apps — sync bookings to your calendar

  • Communication tools — connect chat and messaging

Benefits of integrations

Connecting your tools:

  • Reduces manual work — data syncs automatically

  • Prevents errors — no re-typing information

  • Saves time — work in the tools you prefer

  • Improves accuracy — single source of truth

  • Extends functionality — add capabilities beyond Launchpad

  • Click Integrations

  • You'll see available and connected integrations

Connecting an integration

General process

Most integrations follow these steps:

  • Find the integration you want

  • Click Connect or Set Up

  • Authorise the connection (often redirects to the other service)

  • Configure settings and permissions

  • Test the connection

  • Enable for production use

Example: Connecting Google Calendar

  • Find Google Calendar

  • Click Connect

  • Sign in to your Google account

  • Allow Launchpad to access your calendar

  • Choose which calendar to sync

  • Select sync preferences (bookings, events, or both)

  • Save the connection

Managing connected integrations

Viewing connections

Connection status

Integrations show:

  • Connected — working normally

  • Error — connection issue needs attention

  • Paused — temporarily disabled

  • Not connected — not set up

Editing settings

For each connected integration:

  • Click the integration name

  • View current settings

  • Adjust options as needed:

- What data syncs - Sync direction (one-way or two-way) - Sync frequency

  • Save changes

Disconnecting an integration

To remove a connection:

  • Click the integration

  • Click Disconnect or Remove

  • Confirm the disconnection

  • Data already synced remains in both systems

Integration data flow

Understanding sync direction

One-way sync:

  • Data flows from one system to the other

  • Changes in the destination don't come back

  • Example: Bookings pushed to Google Calendar

Two-way sync:

  • Data flows both directions

  • Changes in either system sync to the other

  • Example: Xero invoices syncing both ways

What data syncs

Each integration has different data:

Integration

Data synced

Stripe

Payments, refunds

Mailchimp

Contacts, email preferences

Xero

Invoices, payments

Google Calendar

Bookings, events

Troubleshooting integrations

Connection errors

If an integration shows an error:

  • Check if the other service is working

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

  • Verify your credentials haven't changed

  • Check that permissions are still granted

Data not syncing

If data isn't appearing:

  • Check the sync settings

  • Verify the data type is included

  • Look for error messages

  • Try a manual sync if available

  • Check both systems for the data

Duplicate data

If you're seeing duplicates:

  • Check sync settings aren't duplicating

  • Ensure unique identifiers match

  • Review which system is the source of truth

  • Consider adjusting sync direction

Slow syncing

If sync is delayed:

  • Check sync frequency settings

  • Large datasets may take longer

  • Some syncs happen on schedules

  • Manual sync may be faster for urgent needs

Security and integrations

Data security

When connecting integrations:

  • Only grant necessary permissions

  • Review what data is shared

  • Check the other service's security practices

  • Use secure authentication (OAuth preferred)

Managing access

Control who can manage integrations:

  • Only Admins should connect/disconnect

  • Review integrations regularly

  • Remove connections no longer needed

Audit and logging

Track integration activity:

  • View sync logs when available

  • Monitor for unusual activity

  • Check error logs regularly

Best practices

Start with essentials

Begin with the integrations you need most:

  • Payment processing (essential for online bookings)

  • Calendar sync (visibility and scheduling)

  • Accounting (financial management)

Test thoroughly

Before relying on an integration:

  • Connect in a test environment if possible

  • Verify data syncs correctly

  • Check edge cases

  • Train your team

Document your setup

Keep records of:

  • Which integrations are connected

  • Settings and configurations

  • Who manages each integration

  • Troubleshooting steps that worked

The right integrations make Launchpad even more powerful for your business.
