Notification channels
Launchpad can send notifications through:
In-app — notifications within Launchpad (bell icon)
Email — messages to your email address
SMS — text messages for urgent alerts (where available)
Configuring your own notifications
Each team member controls their personal preferences:
Click your profile icon in the top right
Select Settings
Click Notifications
For each notification type:
- Toggle channels on or off (in-app, email, SMS) - Set quiet hours if needed
Click Save Preferences
Quiet hours
To pause non-urgent notifications:
Go to your notification settings
Enable Quiet Hours
Set your start and end times
Choose which notifications can still come through
Save your settings
Urgent notifications (like security alerts) will still come through during quiet hours.
Configuring team-wide notifications
Owners and Admins can set organisation defaults:
Go to Settings > Notifications
Select the Organisation Defaults tab
Set default notification preferences for each role
Click Save Defaults
New team members will start with these settings.
Role-based notification rules
Set up notifications based on roles:
Go to Settings > Notifications
Click Notification Rules
Create a new rule:
- Trigger — what causes the notification - Roles — who should receive it - Channels — how to deliver it
Click Save Rule
Example rules
Notify Admins of cancellations:
Trigger: Booking cancelled
Roles: Admin
Channels: Email + In-app
Alert Managers of new bookings:
Trigger: New booking
Roles: Manager
Channels: In-app only
SMS for high-value bookings:
Trigger: Booking over $1,000
Roles: Owner, Admin
Channels: SMS + Email
Location-specific notifications
For multi-location businesses:
Go to Settings > Notifications
Click Location Rules
Create rules specific to each location:
- Select the location - Set notification triggers and recipients - Choose channels
Save your rules
Team members only receive notifications for their assigned locations.
Managing notification overload
If you or your team are receiving too many notifications:
Consolidate where possible
Use daily digest emails instead of individual alerts
Enable in-app notifications but disable email for routine items
Use SMS only for truly urgent matters
Use smart filtering
Set minimum thresholds (e.g., only notify for bookings over $500)
Filter by booking type or product
Exclude certain actions (e.g., don't notify when you made the change yourself)
Review and prune
Monthly, review your notification settings:
What notifications are you ignoring?
What important things are you missing?
Adjust settings based on actual usefulness
Notification history
View your past notifications:
Click the bell icon in the top navigation
Scroll through recent notifications
Click View All to see full history
Use filters to find specific notifications
Notifications are kept for 30 days.
Team notification settings (for Admins)
View and manage your team's notification preferences:
Go to Settings > Team
Click on a team member
Select the Notifications tab
View their current settings
Owners and Admins can adjust settings if needed
Note: Team members can override Admin-set preferences for their own accounts.
