Completing the Brand Voice Quiz

A step-by-step walkthrough of the Brand Voice two-phase quiz — voice style questions and the personality card sort.

The Brand Voice quiz takes most operators 5–10 minutes to complete. It is split into two phases — a voice style questionnaire followed by a personality card sort. Here is what to expect at each stage.

Accessing the quiz

Go to Marketing > Brand Voice. If you have previously completed the quiz, you will see a notice with a View Profile button — you can retake at any time by clicking Retake Quiz.

Phase 1 — Voice Style Quiz

  1. The quiz opens with 8–12 questions personalised to your business type and location.

  2. Each question asks you to choose between two styles — for example, "We speak formally and professionally" versus "We're relaxed and down-to-earth."

  3. Questions cover eight voice dimensions: formality, storytelling, sensory language, warmth, pace, personality, perspective, and authenticity.

  4. Choose the option that best reflects how you want your business to sound — even if neither is perfect, pick the closer one.

  5. Click Next after each question. There is no time limit.

If you only want to complete the card sort, click Skip to Personality Cards beneath the first question.

Phase 2 — Personality Card Sort

  1. Sixteen personality cards are displayed — traits such as Adventurous, Authentic, Sophisticated, Playful, Grounded, and more.

  2. For each card, choose Keep or Discard based on whether the trait fits your brand.

  3. There is no minimum or maximum number to keep — trust your instincts. Most operators keep 4–8 cards.

  4. Once all sixteen cards are sorted, click Generate My Brand Voice.

Reviewing your results

  1. Launchpad processes your responses and generates your brand voice profile (this takes 15–30 seconds).

  2. Your profile includes: tone descriptors, a writing style guide, suggested phrases, and dos and don'ts.

  3. Review the results — if something feels off, click Retake Quiz to start over.

  4. Click Save to Marketing Profile to apply your voice to all AI content workflows.

Tips

  • Answer as your business, not as yourself personally — think about how you want guests to feel when they read your content.

  • If two options feel equally right, choose the one you would use with a new guest on their first visit.

  • The quiz takes about 5 minutes. Find a quiet moment rather than rushing through it.

  • You can retake the quiz as many times as you like — your previous results remain safely in your Marketing Profile until you choose to update them.
