FAM Trips

Plan and run familiarisation trips for your trade partners — build relationships that turn agents into advocates for your experiences.

Written by Hayden Zammit Meaney

A familiarisation trip (FAM trip) is one of the most effective things you can do to grow your trade business. When agents, wholesalers, and DMC reps experience your product firsthand, they sell it with genuine enthusiasm. Launchpad's FAM Trip manager helps you plan, invite, and track every FAM — all in one place.

Accessing FAM Trips

Go to Trade Hub > FAM Trips. You'll see a list of all scheduled and past trips with participant counts and status.

Creating a FAM trip

  1. Click New FAM Trip.

  2. Enter the trip name, dates, meeting point, and maximum capacity.

  3. Add an itinerary — what partners will experience, where they'll go, and what meals or accommodation are included.

  4. Select which of your trade partners to invite, or add individual contacts.

  5. Click Save. Launchpad generates a trip summary page you can share with invitees.

Managing participants

  1. From the FAM trip detail page, click Invite Partners to send invitations.

  2. Track responses in the Participants tab — accepted, declined, and pending.

  3. Use the Notes field to log any special requirements or dietary needs.

  4. After the trip, mark each participant as attended and add follow-up notes.

After the FAM trip

Follow up within 48 hours. Launchpad lets you log notes against each participant and link the FAM trip to a trade contract if a new partnership is established as a result.

Tips

  • Invite 6–12 partners per trip — small enough for a personal experience, large enough to be worthwhile.

  • Mix new prospects with existing partners — they often sell to each other on the trip.

  • Document the itinerary thoroughly in Launchpad; it becomes a sales tool for future FAM invitations.

  • Send partners your rate sheets before the trip so they arrive ready to book.
