Cruise Analytics

Review cruise season performance — passenger volumes, revenue, experience popularity, and year-on-year trends.

Written by Hayden Zammit Meaney

Cruise Analytics gives you a clear picture of your cruise season's performance — which ships performed best, how your revenue tracks year-on-year, and which experiences cruise passengers prefer. Use this data to plan your next season and negotiate with cruise lines.

Accessing Cruise Analytics

Go to Cruise Hub and select the Analytics or Reports tab.

What's available

  • Season summary — total cruise calls, passenger estimates, actual passengers served, and revenue.

  • Ship performance — a breakdown by vessel showing conversion rate (passengers who booked vs total aboard).

  • Experience popularity — which of your experiences cruise passengers book most, by volume and revenue.

  • Year-on-year comparison — how the current season compares to previous years.

  • Port breakdown — if you operate across multiple ports, see which generates the most cruise revenue.

Using analytics for planning

  1. Filter by season or date range using the controls at the top of the page.

  2. Identify your top-performing ships and note their home ports and typical passenger demographics.

  3. Look at your lowest-performing ships and consider whether the experience type, price point, or timing is a factor.

  4. Export the report using Export CSV for inclusion in funding applications or stakeholder presentations.

Tips

  • Review cruise analytics at the end of each season, not just at year-end — mid-season insights let you adjust in real time.

  • Share anonymised highlights with your port authority or regional tourism organisation — demonstrating your cruise contribution strengthens your case for infrastructure investment.

  • Use experience popularity data to inform your product development priorities for next season.
